Teacher, how about filling or occupying a vacant position or office:
After Joe's retirement, I need you to fill (up / out / in) the position of Vice President which is currently vacant until we announce our next series of appointments next year.
This is good to learn English.

As a native English speaker from the UK, I would just say that forms were always "filled in" and never "filled out" in British English when I was in school in the 1960s. We were taught that "fill out" was an Americanism which should be avoided completely.
Older people here still tend to say "fill in a form" whilst younger people, under the worldwide influence of US films and TV, will sometimes say "fill out" as you describe.
Fill in a blank page but fill out a form ( page with questions or texts ) in my opinion
americans say, "fill out" the forms. Took me a while to say it automatically as I was used to saying "fill up" in the Philippines.
British English accounts for 3% of the English speaking world. In means containment.
Out means de-containment. Fill in refers to the parameters of spaces on the form. Fill out implies that a form should be completed until there is no more space within which to fill.
thanks for the information regarding British English words coz filipinos use american english.
yup...it really depends😊...language is the way people in the community speak it.😊❤
And what's good about her lessons is she explains the Filipino version of the grammar phrases our very own balarila na hindi na alam ng karamihan ng mga teachers braun kc winesternized na nila ang ating wika.
yung initial na pagkakaintindi/pagkakaalam ko ay "fill up" means punuin, "fill out" means tapusin/sagutan, at yung "fill in" means punan. at comfirmed! tama nga 😅, thanks po
Ang galing mo naman. You're a genius
Sakto! FILL Up the glass with milk.
Bigyan sana kita jacket
@@juncuenta5629 lupet
Fill out or Fill in…. Just say, complete the form.
For Fill Up - glass of water please.
You seldom have to say… fill up my glass, just say… I need a glass of….. then the server will automatically fill your glass with water or soda. If you are drinking beer, only need to say the brand and the bartender will know automatically know what to do. Lol
Ms Caguete's CZcams channel just recently popped into my feed, and I must say that your lessons are on point as they address many of the issues we Filipinos face with spoken and written English. "Fill up" is one of those phrases that need to be corrected.
it is necessary to be grammatically correct, but most importantly to help students to be confident in oral speaking
True po
Sana teacher try mo din magpost magbigay ka din ng TIPS about IELTS (speaking, writing, listening and reading).

Thank you Ma'am, perfect para din sa aming BPO employees, ang gusto ko sa way of teaching mo ay yung may katumbas sa Filipino para mas madaling maintindihan, salamat po, GOD bless!
Thank you so much for your comment, Rock!
Thank you miss, it is clearly explained.ok, thanks so much.,Godbless you maam.
Parang they're all the same.
Pag nag-i Ingles ka kalimutan mo ang Filipino, Tagalog o Bisaya, express yoursel in American English.
Talking to another Filipino is self-explanatory
The worst thing you can do talking to an American or a Western foreigner is to get your tenses mixed up...
You cannot talk about the past in the present tense..
Don't mix the past and present tenses in the same conversation...
@@yootoober2009
That's right!
Up = 100% completion of a physical task
Out = de-containment / 100% completion of a form.
In = containment / enter within the parameters of spaces
TaGALOG MEANING ppo ng mga cnabi mo PLS.. Di ko p rin naintindihan eh sabihin n ng iba bobo aq kung bobo pero di KO P RIN YLGA NAINTiNDIHAN CNABI MO??😁😥 huhuh

Containment ba appropriate word for this? Containment refers to the process of controlling something from spreading , for example a lockdown was employed to contain the spread of disease. As far as I know.
Ano pong pinagsasabi mong containment?

Whatever you use is understandable and that is the inportant thing. We should not be ashamed if we commit mistakes in using this language because this is not ours. We rather be ashamed if we commit mistakes in using our own.

Yes we grew up with “fill-up this form” mali pala salamat po Mam Myra unti-unti nakokorek ang mali naming notions sa napakaraming phrasal words God bless
hihihi mahalaga ang mag suri at mag imbestiga lalo sa internet
Examples of proper use of these terms in the US: "Fill out" an application form, for a job; "Fill in " the blanks, for taking a test or an exam and "Fill up" a tank of gas.
Tagalog pls..😯
Tagalog pls..😯
Cno kya mg tratranslate skin tgalog dto mring salmat po?
@@akihirotropa1700 Let me try , "Fill out" an application for a job, means punan ang porm o application para sa trabaho , "Fill in " the blanks for taking a test means Punuin or punan and patiang or blangko, sa pagsusulit; and "Fill up" a tank of gas, punan and isang tangke ng gas.
It's always been " fill up " for me regarding forms.
Smart idea,nice to know teacher
