the power in the 125 is unleashed at higher rpms . if she had more time to understand the gear ratio and power ratio she could operate it
My daughter started riding the ktm 125 when she turned 14. She is as thin as a stick and weighs no more than a fly. She went from 85cc to 125cc and it didn't take her long to get used to the 125. It took a month or so for her to handle it the same way she handled the 85. 125 likes to run at a little higher rpm all the time.

Lillian completely contradicted herself. 😆 The supermini has more power but the 125 is scarier. The power curve is so tight with the bigger 2 strokes it's insane. Even pro's like Reed talk about how hard it is for him to transition back to a 2 stroke . Great riding as always guys and thanks for bringing us along. I think Lillian would love the 125 once she got used to it, my opinion of course.

But to be fair she doesn’t have a lot of experience with terminology or explaining what she’s experiencing on the bike.
I have talked with her several times to try to get out of her what she likes so much about the supermini. And I think she loves the power delivery because it gets into the powerband so quick. Where as the 125 takes more to get the bike into the meat of the power.
As far as being scared, I think the size and the weight is scary. I know she’s tall but keep in mind it’s a full size bike designed for someone a lot stronger. We are working on building her upper body strength so that when we get her a 125 she’ll be ready. But I agree I think she’ll like it once she gets used to it.

And thats Why she really has to try a yz125 2022 or 2023 they are super fast but way More Smoother to Ride she has to try one please. I now she Pfeffer another Brand but still try. And they have no Injektion so its easier for Brandon to keep to bike good!!!👍👍👍😁😁😁😁🙏

@@VlogEpicness you could run an ignition on a 125 and get it tuned up in the right way so it will be easier for her to manage the power delivery. Or just tell her to keep it pinned cos 125s need to be ridden in mid to high rpms and she likes to use the low rpms, but the ignition tune and maybe a high compression head, pipe and silencer will help it pick up from low rpms
I recently went from 85 to 125 and i needed time to get used to the 125. The 125 is bigger, faster and harder to make corners, but when you get used to it theres no going back to the 85. After a while u DONT WANT TO GO BACK to the 85 because the 125 is faster and way more fun when you get used to it. I think lilian will be great on the 125 if she takes the time to learn to ride it.

Good times at the track. Years ago we were driving to the mountain trails by 100 mile house, BC. We drove from Gibbons, Alberta- to Hinton before we got in trouble for no lights on the trailer. Darn aluminum trailers, we had to gun tape some red lights at the back , same idea to what you had to do. Get to the trails by any means,, adapt and overcome. Have fun

Met your kids at supercross. Someone(Mason) kept kicking the row of seats in front of them during qualifying and I was about to turn around and ask them to stop. Then was like wait, I recognize them. So said whats up instead.

Bottom line put Lillian on a 125 for one year and Focus on nothing but the woman's class and she would be unstoppable, she's still a kid she needs proper guidance..
She’s got a few more months on the supermini because she can’t ride a 125 in the girls class at Loretta’s and then that’s the plan 👍🏻

I went to a 85 small wheel to a 125 and fell in love the first ride hated even touching my 85
She needs to get the 2023 husky 125, it’s one of my fav bikes I’ve ever riden. One of the fastest and easiest bikes to ever ride, my mom is 52 and she rippes on it. I have a 250f and almost prefer the. 125

I only ever rode two strokes four strokes were about but not like today to get the best out of the bike you really need to work the gear box keeping the bike in the power band is a art but so rewarding the thing is a few months on she’ll want more power 🏴👍

I just moved up to 125 from 85s was definitely scared at first but it’s so much more comfortable
The 125 requires either more clutching or more aggression for the power to hit. But I promise, the 125 is much more powerful
A stock 125 isn't much more HP than a supermini. My daughers race bike has about as much power as a yz 125 and weighs way less.
At the end when she was talking about the 125 bogging, well for 2023 ktm and husky 125s have like no bog, they are fuel injected so they are a lot better.

from my 4 years of experience on a 125, i always found that cornering in a lower gear then most bikes makes it easier on the rider. even on the supermini i can hear lillian having to work the clutch all the time, but honestly try switching down a gear! other than that, awesome vid!
Imo.. lill is hanging out in the bottom end of the powerband of the 125, she'll know when she hits that power :) Luke blitzing them whoops... Awesome 👍

dude please get these kids a weekly trainer.. there getting encouraged to be very comfortable while being sketchy..especially leaning back on all jumps, thats going to end up in injury brother. hope yall stay safe.
If I could afford weekly training i obviously would. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with what coaches charge here in the NW. But weekly training with for 3 kids would run $2400 a month. We are doing the best we can with what we have. Hopefully someday but right now I’m not able to swing that.
With MX Factory/Moto Academy/even MTF has online training now, they, as a collective, could figure out a really good training program.
But the most vital training is seat time..
@Vlog Epicness I train with the moto academy, I take the lessons and steps very serious. Not only are you able to help your kids learn but you will also learn what to look for when helping them with technique. A simple training app will go a long way when trying to help your kids stay safe.

spot on with the names.... Aiden, Brayden, Haiden, Jayden, , Kaiden. I have a common name and usually had 1 other kid in my class with my name, but kids these days going to have 3 kids named aiden in their class and at least 5 more with the similar name.

It’s easier said then done but you just have to be more aggressive on a 125 so you can keep it in the meat of the power

The 125 is way more responsive Shes just not flying into her turns fast enough and she’s not in the right gear. The 125 would be better for because she is comfortable on the 85 she needs to learn to be uncomfortable to get faster that’s what I did going straight from an 85 to a 250 2 stroke

Your Kids had the Perfect Start, starting on less powerfully bikes, 85 race bikes and 125 two stroke race bikes are to much for beginners, A lot of people may argue that.
But the power delivery is quite abrupt for beginners especially when you factor in Jumps and ruts. I've Seen many people try starting on 125's because they were late teens early 20's and that was the logical place yo start if they wanted to Race, But the power was to much and they got hurt (multiple people)
They needed that XR100, XR200 type power for awhile before jumping to the race bike imo. But there are no race classes like that. There should be some Air cooled Race classes imo
It’s always tempting to move up to a race bike. I probably moved them up to soon. But yeah I’d recommend starting on a 4 stroke to build confidence and technique for sure 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Go with a 250 four stroke, they’re easier to ride the extra weight gives the bigger bike stability and more engine breaking on four strokes 125cc are always fun but for the amount of time you end up riding or racing it it’s not worth it honestly just get used to riding 4 strokes if your gonna be competitive your gonna want the easier faster bike to ride

Maybe let her try a 250. I just skipped the 125 and went straight to a 250. Yes it is heavy but the power is instant on the 4 stroke. After a few rides on the big bike it will fell natural to her.
I think everyone should be on a 125 for at least a year. There are many benefits you learn clutch control, how to carry speed, and it just takes more effort so later on you will be faster

Was that a fuel injected 125? That's crazy she says a 85 is faster lol. Maybe it's the gearing? She maybe needed to down shift 😂 or maybe dudes bike needed a fuel adjustment or air filter 😆 🤷 keep em coming brother 💚👊🏼

85s are lighter and they snap a lot harder down low so it can give the illusion of being faster even though the 125 definitely is.
I think what she is trying to describe is how the supermini gets into the powerband so quickly. I have ridden it and it is crazy snappy. The 125 takes a lot more to get it into the powerband.
@@VlogEpicness Ahhh I see. I had a 88 oz 250 that was a DGY bike, no one ever was sponsored and I ended up getting it. I swear the power band came on so quick it was scary 😂. Never rode a 80 or 85. I was 16 when I got the yz250. Lete tell you, a 16 year old who has only driven a1974 indian 75cc and a 1974 yamaha mx100 and mix 175 that were my dads.... Those things felt they didn't even have a power band compared to that bike 😂. Appreciate the content brother 💚👊🏼
I love the fi 125's but you can totally control jetting so much easier on normal carbed bikes. problem with the e start 125's is you need an ecu chip reader as like a car to tune the jetting whereas you can do it yourself in 5 minutes with a kit
my brother has a 200 ktm 2 stroke and i tried it im 10 its to scary and it shakes so much
125's just keep it in 3/4 gear and fan the clutch. You'll get faster
Just hit that throttle. They are not like 250cc 2 strokes. You won't get hurt.

Follow someone who can jump it and match their speed. Start small to build confidence.

That’s a good question. The main reason is because the suspension is stiff which fits Lillian better right now.

Why would you put an inexperienced kid on a 125 when they only use their front brake.. there’s a big difference between moto dads and wanna-be moto dads. Obviously she’s not ready for a full size bike. Will she be able to ride it? Obviously yes, anybody can ride a 125. But only using your front brake is like one of the first things a kid should know NOT to do when it comes to moto lol
