Some of these are not true. I'm a 30+ years Disney theme park veteran and I have visited the US parks many times (I live 90 minutes from Walt Disney World and have had an annual pass on and off over the years), so I speak from experience.
Regarding alcohol... Disneyland park in California is a "dry" park (except for the exclusive "secret" Club 33 restaurant/lounge), but across the way at California Adventure, they do serve alcohol. Over at Walt Disney World in Florida, all 4 parks now serve alcohol (at the Magic Kingdom, it's limited to the Be Our Guest restaurant though and alcohol is not allowed beyond inside the restaurant).
The crop tops thing is also not true. I've seen girls wearing that and even less at the parks. Regarding tattoos, if it's something that might be offensive, Cast Members will ask guests to cover them up. Same goes for shirts that guests wear that are offensive - they ask the guest to turn the shirt inside out or to purchase a shirt in the park to wear. Disney used to have a much stricter dress code back in the day. I have a friend who went to Disneyland with his cousin (who is a famous music legend) in the late 60s or early 70s and they were turned away at the gate by Cast Members. Why? Their hair was "too long".
And yes, adults are not allowed to dress up as characters in the parks... BUT... there is an exception. During Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at WDW, adults can dress in costume as well as their kids. There are rules regarding costumes though and if they dress as a Disney character, they are not allowed to pose for photos/sign autographs for other guests.
The reason why selfie sticks were banned is because people were whipping them out on rides, which is very dangerous due to safety, ride clearances and a lot of times they'll get dropped, which triggers an attraction to stop. And it's not just Disney... selfie sticks have also been banned at the Universal parks and many other theme/amusement parks have followed suit.

Also too, I hurriedly got dressed to go with the g-kids to DLand and inadvertently had a Tweety Bird shirt on with the tiny pic of the Bird on my shirt pocket- without missing a beat, a Cast Member whipped out a Mickey Sticker and asked me to cover it which I did, I was embarrassed cause I have a Minnie on my shirt pocket, I must of grab the wrong shirt and didn't noticed LOL

My sister worked for WDW and selfie sticks are banned because people abused them by taking them and extending them on rides. It falls into the whole "keep your body, arms, legs and fee" inside the ride at all times. Word on the street someone girl was hurt on a ride when someone dropped their selfie stick causing her nose to be broken. so in all it were those few people that ruined it for the rest of us. They know people can't resist the urge.

There are spots inside the park that you can purchase alcohol 🍺 it's 1) they figure more people won't drink inside the park if they have to pay & 2) just like smoking is in a designated area in the park.

Last year when my family and I visited the park we brought a selfie stick and we didn't know that they weren't allowed so we put it in our backpack.... they told us to take the selfie stick away from the park and take it to where we were staying at..... So...instead of taking it back to our hotel (30 min drive) we hid it in a bush then they started coding what we were wearing and starting acting like we had brought a weapon or something 😂 then they sent security on the look out for what bush we put it in.... the security got to the selfie stick and let me just say R.I.P poor innocent selfie stick😩😂😂

Either way these rules seem okay. I believe the selfie stick is not allowed because people might use it in some rides where you're supposed to just stay in your little wagon.

Tinkerbell needs to have great upper strength to be able to manage the cable chord as it swings her up and down. Otherwise, she'd be like a paper doll just dangling all over the place. Therefore, they have used males to play the part. The costume and wig are neon colored to filter out with the black light. This helps us see her when she comes out flying.

Okay so I live about 45 minutes away from Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida and the last time I went to Magic Kingdom (which was about a week ago), on the transporter that takes you from the parking lot the the front of the park, ( I forget what it's called ) the person who tells you the rules and regulations totally said to "hold tight on any lose items such as selfie sticks". Also once I got on the park, I seen many people with selfie sticks

These rules are reasonable af why everone saying theyre strict?!
    1. selfie sticks: Selfie sticks and extra long tri pods should be baned from the world in my opinion plus they take up to much space.
    2. drones: Makes sense A theme park full of little kids who probally dont want to be fimed without consent plus safety reasons, crashes.
    3. appearance: Well obviosly its not the best idea to show up at disney rocking some rude and innapropriate tats.
    4. No running: Again common sense
    5. Dress up: get it! Little kids may think the teen/ adult dressed up is a character and ask for a photograph.
    6. Swearing: FFS RULE MAKES SENSE
    7. Fold up chairs: Just imagine a couple chairs in the middle of magic kindom with some old guys sitting on them and eating luch
    8. Alcohol: Again just imagine a couple of old guys running round magic kindom drunk asf
    9. Ballons: Animal kindom - animals. ballons and kids - ballon up in the air. Ballons and animals - death. Yupppp
    10. feed the animals: Logic
    11. no pets: Well fuck no
    12. cutting lines: MAKES SENSE

They aren't telling you how to live your life. Disneyland and WDW are privately owned and when you go there, you have to follow their rules or leave. It's the same whether you have a job, go to a movie, go to a mall, etc... You are on private property, have to act accordingly and follow the rules.

    • @afnusa

Short answer is yes, but in some areas you will not be permitted
to bring your service dog in or onto the ride. Please see disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/service-animals
for official information. I would highly recommend that you bring documentation
that says you need a service dog, just encase they ask for documentation.

AFN legally, they can't ask for documentation proving an animal is a service animal because not all trained service animals have service animal documentation because they were personally trained. ADA(American Disability Act) States you can only ask what tasks an animal does for the disabled person.

    • @MissaLVT
      @MissaLVT Před 6 lety

AFN Real service dogs don't have documentation. And legally the ONLY thing someone can ask you about your service dog is (a) Is it a service dog? And (b) What tasks is it trained to do to help you.

What if your family holds your place in line for you while you go to the bathroom?

    • @PR-ys5nr
      @PR-ys5nr Před 7 lety +5

Selfie sticks are banned at multiple parks including Disney because people go to dangerous lengths to get a "cool" picture, and there have been ridiculous incidents all over the country. It can also be very invading of other guests' space, and it's not exactly safe to dangle things over people's heads when selfie sticks aren't the sturdiest, which is why they're so cheap.
Disney wants you take all the pictures you want in their parks, just no flash photography inside the rides.

At Shanghai Disneyland, several of these rules are broken pretty often, considering how it's China and how they don't have really high safety standards. At the ride Soarin', a mother was carrying a stool for her daughter to sit on, as the line was about 3 hours long. When people cut lines, the cast members don't really care, though the other guests always start screeching at each other. At the Buzz Lightyear ride, some girl's boyfriend was screaming at a six year old and accusing her of cutting in line. At the Seven Dwarves Mine Train, an entire family slipped in front of the line by sending their daughter sneakily ahead and then pushing forward, announcing that she had been there first.

I'm so glad that selfi-sticks are not allowed. Not having someone randomly stop walking to take a selfi-stick out or nearly hit someone with it is very refreshing.
You are allowed to Disneybound as adults. So no confusion for the little ones. But able to dress up as a character.
