Good video. My 94 was gifted to me by my parents in 2006. I still own it and it has evolved over the years!
We LOVE our well cared for '95 4-door, Control Trac XLT with 87,522 miles!
Awesome video. Glad I stumbled across it. I love my 95
I'm rocking a 2000 sport with the 4.0 V6 OHV and the 5 speed manual... Its my fist ever 4x4 SUV and I love it
I’ve got an 02 Sport 4x4 SOHC 5 speed manual. Do all my own oil changes/repairs. 204k on the clock and counting , no timing chain issues yet 🤞🏽
It was great to have chance to interview Kris! I'm looking forward to the blooper reel, now that's some funny sh!t!
I've got myself a 2001 ford explorer xlt 5.0 awd with a double to single exhaust straight pipe with the 2 front cats still intact. The back 2 step cat were deleted and it has a aftermarket intake paired with a 1st step tune making about 340 hp. I love this truck. My next mod is going to add a 2in lift and slightly taller all terrain tires.
What about the OHV 4.0... very very durable n reliable.
This is awesome love the knowledge Im a big fan of the 1st and 2nd gen dad still has his 94 xlt since new
My first car was a 2002 explorer. Coming from a family with nothing having a car at 16 changed my world I’ll always love them. Looking at a 99 rn but I don’t really want another manual car
I have a 1997 Explorer xlt 4.0 ohv. Best vehicle I've ever owned I would say. I have had it for 9 years now has around 178k on it
Absolutely adore my 2008 Eddie Bauer explorer. After losing my beautiful 06 Mountaineer. I had to get back into that style car.
My 96 is my first 4x4 love it
Just got a 3" leveling kit & BTF Fab UCA's for my 4th gen
I'm on my 5th. 97 5.0 AWD would love to get together with you guys!
I’d love to see a video covering your Explorer collection
I have a 96 Explorer and the quit doing anything when I try to put it in 4x4, can you suggest some things to check?
Would you guys say the 97 5.0 AWD was any good off road
The 2nd gen awd I believe had a version of awd but it's more of an automatic 4x4. So yes. They're good off-road. Not as good as straight 4x4 but better than true awd
That vin tattoo is special
What year did they start using timing chains in the front and rear of the engine? I'm interested in a 2000 4.0, but I dont want it if it has front and rear chains.
Anything with the sohc V6
I think it was 2002 the 4.0 six cylinder engine was not good. The timing chains had plastic guides I believe that would break easily. The older models with the 5.0 V8 are work horses and just keep going if you maintain them I have a 2000 with 180,000 miles still running great with original transmission too. No one can bad mouth them to me lol
Anyone know if a 4th gen lift gate will fit a 3rd gen?
I got a black 96 sport.
