British luthier James Collins introduces his DBS (Deep Body Spruce) model.
The James Collins DBS model is a deep body double-cut guitar made for the modern jazz player and combines the comfort of the compact GTO design with a deeper (50mm) hollow body to complement the carved top. Designed for predominantly clean sound playing with an emphasis on speed of response and articulation of complex harmony, The DBS does also love some gain behind it and is a great choice for blues, be-bop and fusion. In contrast to the mahogany neck and body of the GTO, it features a hollow body of figured big leaf maple and a carved spruce soundboard - taking direct inspiration from the great modern arch top builders D’Aquisto and D’Angelico. More than just a miniature L5 - this is a massively versatile instrument for the modern player.

The way that sinewave escapes the fretboard is genius!
