Sir Frederick Ashton's The Dream pas de deux danced by Alina Cojocaru as Titania and Johan Kobborg as Oberon. I apologise for the video quality. The beautiful performance makes it worthwhile though.

Oberon and Titania... King and Queen of the Fairies. This is THE most exquisite version of this pas de deux. Ashton's choreography displays all the other worldliness of fairyland, but grounds it in the worldly relationship between husband and wife. So ably danced by a real husband and wife! Ballet at its best.

I saw this fabulous ballet recently at ROH, and Natalia Osipova was a gorgeous Titania!! Can't find any current videos. Also, Casper lench was OUTSTANDING as Puck, and again, ive not found any clips of his performance.

Pity the quality of the film and photography was not better. Obviously they are both superb dancers. I cannot help thinking that Antoinette Sibley brought something very special to this and may never be surpassed.
