  • A few weeks ago i was thinking back to some of my older star citizen videos, specifically one of them showcasing how you can quickly start making a good amount of money as a new player. I decided wanted to revisit this in zero to hero type challenge and see how fast i could make enough money in game to buy a Drake vulture, which we all know prints money. This is how it went.

    I do want to mention I DID have to rent the cutlass black and greycat roc a second time for the next day, but we had made so much money by then it was no problem!

      Ofcourse man! Imma be honest this is the first patch I'd of attempted this in. While the bugs and server issues suck I find them way more manageable than in the past.

    Nice video! One thing about the RMC limits (because of duppers), they are set per regions not per shard, so changing region is definitely the "best" solution.

    I find it much simpler to do mercenary mission on microtech . Pays 21k, only have to kill 10 guys outside the distribution center. After completing it you usually get it again right away on the other side of the same distribution center making it 42k in just a few minutes. Then you can do unverified version of the same mission for 55k, but on those ones sometimes extra enemies spawn that aren't part of the 10 guys your supposed to kill. Overall very easy mission, lots of guns and armor that are easy to loot as the distribution centers have a local inventory and it can take like 5mins to complete them. These distribution centers also have no turrets so easy safe landing. No crime stat either for the unverified mission.

      Oh for sure, thats why i said there are definitely better ways i just wanted to test one of my old methods again and see how it faired.

    In game workaround for selling RMC is sell at Reclamation Orenth, they buy at 11k each SCU. Other salvage yards buy for a bit less. It's not the most profit but still better than most refined T2 minerals. May have to wait for cargo update to fix the Duping mess.

    Just to let you know, if you ever damage the Vulture arm, leave the ship there and do not dock because it cannot be fixed in the way youll have to buy other ship.

      @@DireSaint Yah bro, Was expecting a full wipe anyway. If not soon, then when? 4.0? I feel most of Server crashes are due to claim spamming exacerbated by the replication layer (x persistence) which cause near endless crash-loop on the worst days. Also, They need turn on impound zones at landing areas like A18 Or some 30-40 minute impound system for derelict ships at space stations and outposts. (with a timer restart when ATC is called or cargo lift request/interact.)

      @DireSaint  Před měsícem +1

      Well in this video it wasnt a bug, the server was dead. I actually havnt had that bug in a long time, have you deleted your user files in recent patches? perhaps thats causing it to still happen for you.

      @warren3174 Před měsícem +1

      @@DireSaint yes. I too hadn’t seen this bug in a while and not since 3.22 until yesterday. It was actually annoying to see it pop back up. I keep my files straight. It’s just still a thing like many bugs in SC. Some are several years old. lol. I believe most are server related so once dynamic meshing is in play perhaps a lot of those will basically disappear.

    • @Lance_Arn
      @Lance_Arn Před měsícem +1

      We know it is bad, but it is not yet a game.. They are spending so much dev time developing the base game mechanics (because no-one has done it before).
      I have backed SC for 7 years and I get more fun in SC than any other game I have played.

    • @DireSaint
      @DireSaint  Před měsícem +2

      From the outside looking in it absolutely seems like it's in a pretty bad state. However actually experiencing the game and how it's offering things no other game has done before, or at least properly. As well as finally seeing the promises made coming to fruition due to big jumps in proprietary tech, like server meshing coming in the next big patch and actually seeing it work are pretty ground breaking. And for those who stuck it out it's pretty exciting.

    • @DireSaint
      @DireSaint  Před měsícem +2

      Basically. Their performance is heavily server based rn. So on the average server they are pretty dumb. If you somehow got onto a server with virtually no other players and the server performance was optimal they'd mess you up pretty quickly.

      The AI isn't the same everywhere. In the distribution centers they can be quite nasty, even at maybe 7 fps on the server. I don't even want to find out what they do at 30. They flank you, snipe you from long distance and even sprint between cover
