Maybe if you Road more and spend less time on the forums you wouldn't be such a whiny old bastards, every new platform has teething problems that's why you have warranty to fix these problems and they get fixed. Dyno tuning is amazing. The numbers are neat to see and are a nice thing for people to bench race against each other. But the real bragging rights is when it comes down to a street light grand prix with a fellow motorcyclist. That's how you put your money where your mouth is

  • @thakery5720
    @thakery5720 Před 5 lety

    Well, I think they are very respectable numbers. I am sure more could probably be squeezed out of it but at least the way you have done it means it'll be reliable. I know the numbers are just that - some make more, some make less and different pulls on the same bike with the same tune can give different numbers on the same Dyno - been there and done that. I think that what is refreshing is that this video was done and shown publicly - your honesty is so refreshing ! Remember though that it is not out there on the road, and often less powerful bikes are faster if they have better tyres, suspension or a better rider......

I love that they're sticking to their classic styling, while providing technical improvements with each year. Not many people now bring up "ancient tech" since they got the IMU, cornering traction control and ABS, tire pressure monitoring, and Apple Carplay. Harley's are every bit as advanced as any other bike, they just like doing some things the old way. It's not like there's never been a liquid cooled Harley either. The Street's are still liquid cooled. The V-Rod was liquid cooled. And the upcoming adventure bike is liquid cooled.

They are forced to sell bikes with substandard parts, just to generate the "shop-income" in some veil attempt to service some of these loans. Only trade-off is that, if something does go wrong, H-D's factory warranty may be voided, but if you've got a respectable dealer, they'll guarantee their workmanship on aftermarket parts as much as they do on SE parts.
