Thumbs Up! James at Ray C's is the man! He dyno tuned my 2017 SGS with the S&S 475 cam, V&H Pro Pipe, Arlen Ness Stage 1 Big Sucker air cleaner. It made right at 115 TQ&HP, but the best part was the great torque curve and the bike pulled hard out to 6K RPM. Please NOTE: There is absolutely no other way to properly tune a bike with these mods, without using a dyno. Do not believe anyones BS stating otherwise. Additionally, not all dyno tuners/operators are created equal. I live in Macomb Co, MI and have a choice of 5 HD dealerships and several independent dyno tuners within a 1.5 hour drive radius. I did my research thoroughly ----> Ray Cs (and James Ankley) are all you need to know...

Impressive Peak Torque Number [154 ft.lb.] and more importantly (IMO) is the torque curve; hits down low and continues into the midrange...perfect IMO (reflects how most of us ride our Harleys the majority of the time). And as expected (with the 475 cam and 128 c.i.) HP was closer to 130 however that torque curve is sweet. Sure, with a bigger cam, HP could be brought up to the 140-145+ range, however more than likely the torque curve would shift upwards (losing some on the low end). Nice build.

You can’t test an air cleaner on a dyno! The ram air changes everything.

Just wish I would've followed your lead and gone with your engine upgrade set up, instead I went with the HD screaming eagle stage 3 which is nothing but an overly expensive disappointment.

Yeah, unfortunately there are a lot of people out there in your same boat. I try to tell all my local friends this too. That warranty sounds nice when purchasing your parts, however when you're getting gapped by a bike with aftermarket parts it's very frustrating and disappointing. I was beating up on full 131 H-D builds last year with my little stage 2 S&S 475 cam. They couldn't understand lol

@@DOOWORKPRODUCTIONS fuck that warranty the warranty is only good if the bike blows up or something serious happens Harleys are pretty strong bikes they won’t fail until after the two-year years I already did the cam next is like what you did thanks for the video

Got a question , why didn't you do any break in miles? Reason I ask is most local dynos won't touch my bike unless I do 500 easy miles.. What's your take?

@@shawn9878 best break in you can do is on a dyno. Plus only thing not broken in on this bike are the rings and cylinder walls

@@shawn9878 I put about 20 break in miles on the new motor. That was plenty of break in miles for the new pistons and rings.

Yeah.... but it's a BMW....German Goldwing....no panty dropping potential.... been to a GW rally on a GW.... been to a HD rally on 21 RG that I traded GW for.... pics that can't be shared here...lol All about what we want, how we identify, and makes us happy. If I want to go fast I'll hop on my Busa that's modded out and smash north of 170mph all day long. You love what you ride and that you're riding is all that matters. BTW... K160B great bike rode one b4 GW purchase, but just lacking the panache a custom HD build brings. Ride safe, ride hard, dress for the slide not the ride.👊🏾
