- Morgan and Pininfarina are delighted to present Midsummer, a celebration of coachbuilding by two of the longest-established coachbuilders in the world.
Created in recognition of the heyday of European barchetta designs, this special - limited to just 50 examples - represents the shared vision of Morgan and Pininfarina, who have collaborated to reinterpret and celebrate the timeless Morgan silhouette.

Suv's sell and companies money, you can't just make things for art and pleasure. Aston martin do that and unfortunately not enough people can afford them so the company continuously hangs on the edge of survival

As a young man I would see so many beautiful cars, as I grew up and learned about Pininfarina I realised that most of the cars I loved had been designed by them.
It wasn't designed by them but the XJ6 3 series was kissed in all the right places by them. It was a good car before but Pininfarina made it just beautiful

Stunning. Drop dead beautiful. Though all that fantastic work but cannot match the steering wheel and the bmw style gear lever, poor finishing touch for that bespoke styling.

I must admit I would move that Morgan around the grounds too, so to keep it in the sun.
Beautiful. I will say however that as a low production model, they could've adapted the auto gear selector into a more elegant piece. I'm aware they use it in all their vehicles equipped with that auto transmission. Hopefully they offer it in 6 speed as the manual looks much better with its chrome top. Rented a Plus Four recently from Morgan in the same color combination as displayed here w/ 6 speed transmission. It was an amazing day driving through the countryside of England and Wales.
I am with you Ven100. I really like the Morgan PlusFour, and this MidSummer design even more, but I cannot see passed that ugly BMW gear shifter.
I am saving up to buy a PlusFour, and will only get a manual geared one.

Driving this car in the midsummer down a country lane with wind swept hair having that small windscreen would be lovely, apart from all the bug that may occasionally may be eaten, a price I would graciously pay for a car looking this beautiful.

Reminds me of the XK120 Jag from 1951.
No way a guy who minds his hair that much drives that. He'll be a panic of tears and frantic calls to A+E the first time he gets hit in the forehead by a wasp. And a retro roadster with an automatic. Right. Lovely looking, but a mixture of good and stupid elements.
Spot-on comment, Colin. Having driven the Morgan 3-wheeler, at any speed above ten mph you get dust and flies in your face (or soaked if it's raining).
Very, very impressive. I love the name. If I may make a suggestion, it would be perfect if the shift lever had a more classis shape/aesthetic as well as the steering wheel. They seem out of place on what is an incredible creation.

Pininfarina should have sold this design to Bugatti - all it misses is the 'C' arch in the middle since the horse nose is already there!
I would rather have a regular Morgan . Not a fan of this but that’s just my opinion . Maybe I’m the only one who doesn’t like it ?
Looks nice. But the lack of the windshield is a major flaw. You won't be able to drive it without some kind of goggles.
