In the last 2 years Chelsea have bought the 2 best young players at each time, the 1st was Carney Chukwemeka for €20 million & now have bought Omari Kellyman. Both these players have huge potential & could be the stars of football moving forward & worth alot of money,. Aston Villa have invested alot of time/money in completely overhauling the academy over the last 5 years & as a result of this heavy investment its producing many fine young players & in the real world something is only worth what the buyer will pay for it & in this case agreed the said fees for 2 said players. In any type of business you've got to navigate the rules & football is no different & obviously the aim in each case is to get the best possible outcome at the end of the day. The FFP/PSR rules allow 100% profits on academy players, so obviously clubs will use it to maximise their revenue, it's normal that clubs can give themselves a good financial return on their assets & no rules have been broken/breached,maybe some don't like it cos they weren't smart enough to use this path within the current rules for a better outcome in my opinion....up the fuck'in Villa!!!
I wonder if the PL will start looking at clubs taking advantage of clubs struggling with psr. If I'm not mistaken those deals aren't fair market value either.
Players are worth whatever someone is prepared to pay!!
Absolutely, the first rule of real estate.
Rules of real estate dont apply here. I am also sure people wouldn't want that rule since then certain clubs would start selling their young players for 100s of millions to certain middle Eastern clubs. @MelGilbert
@@hssIceland Those rules apply anywhere pal.
@@MelGilbert Juve got punished for just that. Plusvalenza, capital gains aka valuing players for too much
Villa are only working around a completely unfair system, The ffp rules are made to keep the big 6 where they are , and give lesser teams absolutely no chance of ever breaking through.
Just note amortisation would be on a monthly basis, so for these £9m amounts for June 2024, they will only book £150k of costs. So very clever by the clubs involved.
Ah, so there is a tiny bit in this financial year! Wolfie makes it seem like it will cost us a whole years' worth of amortization if we sign players before June 30th.
@@frasers4272Yep, rumour mongering.
Premier trying to keep teams from mid table and below where they are, mustn't get above their station now!
How is Dobbin who played 15 games in the premier, scored a goal against Chelsea not worth 10m if Rhian Brewster (who's been terrible) is worth 26m after never kicking a ball in the premier league? Bit of a joke calling it a loophole because a top 6 team didn't do it😅
Its not a loophole lads it is good work by the clubs accountant's and is within the rules as they stand so well done to them.the worth of any player is always subjective
Great show Wolfie and thanks to Lewis for information on PSR loophole and how clubs are navigating this under the EPL financial microscope
Glad you enjoyed it
its good business...simple....no loop hole bollox....
But who are Forest using for PSR fodder, I don’t see any of our academy players fetching £20m? We still need to sell a first team player before Sunday, so what’s happening with that?
Doesn't matter what they are worth mate you just pair up with another club and over inflated the price to each other
But none of ‘em are worth £20g from what I can see, I have massive faith in Mr.M but I hope he’s not saying fuck the prem cause it’ll end up with us suffering.
That's the point matey. It's a loop hole
@@mickydimosthey don’t need to be worth it that’s the point
Yes I understand that but what I’m trying to say is I don’t think any of our youngsters would excite any prem side whether it’s a fiddle or not. I can’t see Notts or Mansfield paying £10m for any of our academy players, with all due respect to them, so it seems a fruitless exercise.
Savinho is a superb player and was Girona's best player last season, from the left wing.
The issue with amortisation is that it gives clubs more now, at the cost of leaving them less money to spend in future years.
If transfer fees going out are amortized why arent transfer fees coming into a club amortized?
As well as Olympiacos, Mr Marinakis also owns Rio Ave in Portugal.
Does he still own Rio ave?I heard another person owns it now
its all a bit weird aha
I think Lewis likes the word obviously 😂
FFTV as come a long way 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
Long time watcher, lifetime Red, it won't help you this year, but best thing for hayfever is a steroid injection, but you have to get it in February for the following summer, I had one in 2005 and it's lasted me almost 20 years, having a bugger of a time just now though so I'll probably have to get another one next year, COYR!
Ahhh, the Newcastle amendments are causing some trouble
Clubs do business buying and selling players at a value they are happy with, nothing to see here!
Lewis is a Forest 🎉
And basically 😂
It’s not a loophole. And Steele is a sad United fan, so he’s just now pissed that his shitarse club can’t afford the £100M for Branthwaite. UTFT💙💙💙
you gotta laugh really, the FA or EPL have really fooked the game up
Did you hear that? AMortized. At least Lewis knows how to pronounce it.
Daily fail
Disgusting, zero lessons learnt from Jeremy Wisten, this could potentially destroy these youth players lives for what? So these dont have to adhere to running the clubs properly?
1) the players agreed to the move. They don't have to.
2) the big clubs use loopholes. Why shouldn't the small clubs.
