Carlos Miguel wouldn't be my no.1 choice of goalkeeper to sign.... I would much more have preferred the proven shot-stopper Caoimhin Kelleher, but if he isn't available or simply doesn't want to sign for Forest, then why not sign Miguel? Corinthians certainly don't want him to go, so what does that tell you?!!

I like the fact we’re trying to get business done as early as possible. Think this window is going to be v.tough for everyone. If we can sign 4 maybe 5 players and get a reasonable price for Murillo before end of June, we’ve done well. This lad will certainly provide some competition for Sels by the looks of it. Imagine if he’s got good feet too!

I can’t get too excited by this. I’m sure he’s decent and will be a useful squad member. There’s a reason why Clough/Taylor signed Shilton once we had been promoted in ‘77 and I mean this as no disrespect to the other players as we had some absolute greats back then (my a time favourite Robertson to name just one) but there’s a reason Clough always built from the back. A great keeper is better than a great striker or defender or midfielder. The confidence they give to the rest of the team is priceless in my opinion. I don’t know anything about this guy; maybe he’s the next Shilton but at 25yo if he was I would suggest he’d be playing in a top league by now.

We can't get carried away. We now have two goalkeepers and simply sell the rest. Forest need to move onto the next section.

A Corinthians' fan here 👋 Carlos Miguel is a top goalkeeper, me and the rest of Corinthians' fans are REALLY PISSED we are losing Carlos Miguel so quickly and with a deal involving so little money. A big incompetence of our board directors and former president that closed this low fee contract with Carlos Miguel. Carlos Miguel was expected to be the substitute for Cassio (our goalkeeper for the past 12 years), and now that Cassio is old and left Corinthians, they put a top goalkeeper with no exiting fees right before the beginning of the trasfer window. 😡😡 He only played a few games, but saved us a LOT, doing some crazy miracles saves. I suggest you guys to see in another video the top saves of him. If you are looking some goalkeeper that will reach some extraordinary PSxG marks and will save a lot of penalties, Carlos Miguel is the right choice for it. I really hope he reaches the spotlight in Forest in order to reach the Brazilian national team in the future. And of course, with 2 former Corinthians players, I will obviously be supporting and watching the Forest's games (only if Carlos Miguel will be playing hahah) 🌳 Good luck! Cheers from Brazil! I actually like the look of this guy. In the highlights he made some cracking saves and parried some out into safe areas. He even volley balled one. 😂😂 Not sure about him on set pieces though. He looks exciting. If he can iron out those mistakes I saw then I might get over Samba.

Happy with a back up keeper tbf. I do think as a fanbase we don’t realise how decent Sels is though. Just having a solid keeper who can stick around for a few years feels like refreshing stability.

If it's true that we've a chance to offload Vlach & Turner for minimal PSR impact then this would be the perfect signing as a no2 to an established Euro international, but one that really can push Sels next season and potentially end the season as a long term no1 🤞
