    I'm just learning about slalom and this is easily one of the best videos I have seen. Appreciate seeing you compare flat to rockered, and even showed switching the wheels to give rockered, like I needed to see that thank you

    Great video. Love your accent!! Just started in-line skating at the start of 2021 and just recently bought a pair of Seba RX2 that can be full rockered. Decided to go with slalom because i want to learn how to do tricks with cones and there are so many variations. Your video was really helpful and will practice what you did in the next few months when i can..

    I feel you. I think the rockered setup is so maneuverable for slalom but offers little stability for freeskate. Congs on 100 too

    I just got back into inline skating.
    It's been well over 10 yrs for me hehe. I bought some moderately priced freestyle skates to get back into it.
    They aren't top of the line (5th element st80, rockered) but they will do for someone just getting back into the game.
    I love turning on these. So smooth. My niece and nephew like to go out with me to find spots to practice their quads. After dinner we're going to head down to the tennis court to practice more.
    Take it EZ Breeezy!!!

    So glad I found this. I'm brand new to inline skating but I've been ice skating for a few years now. I kept hearing that ice skating and inline skating a pretty similar and if you can do one, you can do the other. So I thought I'd go get some skates and try it. But inline skating is so much harder. I feel like I can go in whatever direction my feet happen to be pointed in, but if I want to change directions, that's not going to happen. In ice skating, I was able to do simple things like turns, swizzles and slaloms in a short amount of time. But doing those things on inline skates is really impossible for me. I'm going to try to figure out how I can create a rocker in my new RB Cruisers. Maybe that will help.

    Funny how you post the next clip the day I found you 😁. Very good topic! I was actually wondering what the X2R frame rocker looks like. I could see a difference in your movement for sure compared to flat. However I couldn't really tell what the front/back wheel rocker size is, compared to.middle ones l. 1-2 mm perhaps? Enjoyed the clip! Glad I'm not the only Gyro wheels fan 😁🤜🏻🤛🏻

    • @tian-africa3678
      @tian-africa3678  Před 2 lety

      It would depend on your skill level however jumping rockered has less stability then flat I would strongly keep this in mind but it is definitely possible.

    I'm skating with a flat 70mm set up and trynna go full rockered, do you suggest I change the front and back wheels into 68mm or 64mm wheels? I'm saving money I don't think I can afford a new pair of rockered inline skates but I heard changing the front and back wheels only also gives a similar effect.

    • @tian-africa3678
      @tian-africa3678  Před 3 měsíci

      Hi yes changing the wheels to slightly smaller ones will help or just find a rockerable frame that will fit your skate and you dont have to buy new wheels

  • @colinroberts2060
    @colinroberts2060 Před 2 lety

    Though I've never actually owned my own skates, I think I've only ever used the flat configuration. I've also strangely never tried a lot of the tricks shown here, since it wasn't really encouraged in an oval-shaped space.

    • @tian-africa3678
      @tian-africa3678  Před 2 lety

      Rockered is mostly used for slalom more than anything else but is fun to use if you like having better agility!

  • @johnviera3884
    @johnviera3884 Před 10 měsíci

    All flat setups wear into a natural rocker. Just test it out yourself. Inspect a new wheel setup on a flat surface. Then skate 15-20 miles and check it out.

    • @tian-africa3678
      @tian-africa3678  Před 10 měsíci

      I normally just skate flat and rotate my wheels as I prefer flat but it's a good idea if you want to naturally do it and don't have a rockerable frame!

    Which do you like better? I feel like rockered is good but on these skates it feels super wobbly

    • @tian-africa3678
      @tian-africa3678  Před 2 lety +3

      Tiago the inline skater actually skates everywhere rockered for more agility but yes it is very wobbly it will be something you will have to get used to I personally prefer flat however I am using a new frame now called Endless 80 Frame which has a slight rocker so you can move better but not so much that you lose stability I would defo recommend this frame its an investment for sure.

  • @Will-tm5bj

    Nice! I have the frx 80s as well. I've skated three times since recovering from a sprained ankle. I'm not brave enough to rocker the axles yet. These are good skates, I should have ordered the brake though🤣🤣
