    Absolutely incredible work!! Your mind is a brilliant place. I loved watching the way you worked through all those design choices. If money weren’t a concern I’d buy a VXWheel right now!!

      Thanks! Also looking at your battery works I know you have the skills, so you can totally also DIY something like this!

    Incredibly well thought out and designed. Looks like a fun board!

    Great design. I wonder if a gortex vent would help with waterproofing. Temperature change can cause a huge pressure and suck water into the housing seals. Better to equalize the pressure with a waterproof vent.

      This could be an improvement yes. While for now over 2200km I had 0 water issues riding in all from crazy mud to hard rain.

    Wow so nice & dry 🥳

      That was a controlled environment test :D While only now after riding Scotland and Belgium with all the rain, and opening it up being 100% dry... only now I can say the system works!

      @@VXwheel u have definitely inspired me. I’m trying to build the Dragon Slayer by VOW but figuring out what parts it has on it is a pain in the ass. I keep getting the run around. I’ll eventually figure it out I hope.

    Your works is awesome. I've travelled all over the world with my Plus and it's annoying to always talk to security and prep everything so well, you've largely solved this!
    Just a question about the water proofing open top design. I'm sure you have, but have you tested it in damp conditions with vibrations? Just wondering if things can get past the seal that way

    • @VXwheel
      @VXwheel  Před 2 měsíci +2

      Yeah, I know the struggle with travel, but I luckily had no issues till now. And with a 900W charger and a 500+Wh battery, this is exactly what I wanted. So when I ride alone I only do quick charging stops and can ride all day.
      I got some water in my previous design when I was riding rain like the whole day.. but that had 3D printed boxes that were bending and were not sealed that well. My rainy days are gonna be covered in some upcoming videos, since my travel editing is like 1 year behind.
      While this board is now 2 months old with 1100km of various conditions, rain included, but not for too long. And it's holding up great so far. My biggest fear is when the gaskets get old and squeezed for good, for them not to hold well with vibrations. But only time will tell if that's a concern or not. + I usually change the gaskets once I see they are starting to get too thin.

      Maybe in 2P. But this is hard to make travel friendly. Or 1P and higher voltage.. but 24S 1P makes no sense as I want range :)

    I fail to see why someone with Your skill set would even respect the one wheel design at all, Buy an expensive pro skatedeck like a deathwish, and use that concave,kicks board profile the singlewheel bord producers really let it go to their heads redesigning the Board part/standingplatforms.... sence your not doing fliptricks the board with with should over 10".... Also if your doing everything why havn't you raised the axle height at least to the point where you can bash up a standard 8" curb.

    • @VXwheel
      @VXwheel  Před 2 měsíci +2

      Well I do race on open category one wheel races, so I have to stay close to the ones available to be in the rules.I also love the pure feeling how this thing rides. I could totally re-design all of it. But honestly, it helps me save some money by making some parts like bumpers and such compatible. Axle can be raised with different axle blocks. Also, the tire is larger towards the FM one. I have plenty of ideas on where to go next... but that's what this design has to offer for now. I wish I had unlimited development resources :)

      @@VXwheel Right-on, after seeing a onewheeler I was stoked learning about them, and I feel like the idea suffers from the "lets make this a safeish mode of transportation"... and I havn't seen the full potential like the difference between Monstertrucks to pick-ups, funnycars to sedans, Formula1 to sportscar type variations. we're expecting a pint tomorrow, everyone in my family can skateboard, snow skate, hockey ect.... Its just the price of fullsized onewheels are equal to used MXdirtbike lvl and I'd perfer the most terrofying offroad experiance possible.

    • @VXwheel
      @VXwheel  Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@johanjotun1647 Well I never had an original onewheel, this it the forth generation of my DIY project and I don't plan on buying any production ones. Since this one has like 10x the power of a pint, so if you like terrifying off road experience you will soon find out pint is not what you need. While speaking of the price.. my VX4 is about a GT-S in parts only. Not counting insane amount of work... but this is what you get with prototypes and small batch.. it's hard to make it affordable sadly.
