- In an effort to downsize my collection to a handful of meaningful pieces, I made a trade for a watch I’ve been wanting for over a year.
Meet my Omega Moonshine Gold Speedmaster.

Wow beautiful piece, and you love it so good for you. Mine is a scratched - but recently fully serviced - 1967 145.012 steel 321. My grail for very different reasons - I was 8 when I watched the Apollo splashdown at my grandma, so a scratched steel 1960s 321 takes me back to my childhood and gives me intense memories. The most powerful emotions one can get. No modern piece can do that.

Stunning. Saw one in the boutique window while xmas shopping, and it got me to sorta stop in my tracks and sorta walk over (like a moth to a flame). It plays with light well, and/or this video (or the lighting) is deepening the colors.

I love this watch, it’s about £40,000 GBP retail but a new one on secondary market is £28,000, crazy depreciation. But if you like it then that’s what matters.
It’s the only watch in my collection from the secondary market. I got it for about $28,000 new. Definitely good deals out there on this.

Great Speedy collection! I just got the Sedna Gold Speedmaster on Bracelet 4 weeks ago and love it. Like the radiant dial and satin bracelet too. Was at Omega Boutique in NYC 2 days ago and also tried the Moonshine Gold w/green dial. I think this would make a great compliment to my my Sedna and Steel sapphire speedys.

I have two full gold watches/bracelets and exclusively wear them casually 👌

At 8:48, you mention how tough it is to get on your hand. To overcome this, put the watch on the wrong way round. That is to say, have the clasp on the top, or back of your hand (top of your wrist), and the case on the bottom, or inside (palm side) of your hand. This is also true when removing the watch. turn the watch round 180 degrees and slide it of your wrist with the case on the bottom of the wrist , across your palm and off. This dramatically eases strain on the bracelet and your hand when putting on and taking it off. Since it is a gold watch, you want to be extra mindful about stretching the bracelet.

i love OMEGA this piece is excellent and superb. i have seamaster300 42mm with sedna gold and blk dial rubber strap $8,300. am gona buy this yr at my local AD OMEGA seamaster600 planet ocean 43mm all sedna gold and blue dial with leather strap gold clasp $31,000. just be carefull and hide it wen u see bad guys or cary a shadow systems mr920 9mm. hey gotta defend your self from this bad ppl out there. but enjoy your watch your son will love your OMEGA collection. i got my wife the red with gold globemaster 41mm red leather band tells the month and its $12,000. i was gona go rolex but OMEGA has more technology and better materials acuracy complexcity in there watches better than rolex.
Yeah I like that it’s more subtle than a gold Rolex. Between the paler gold and brushed finish, it’s not very “loud”.

This is my favourite watch for the all time. However, I was not enough brave to buy it as I couldn’t tolerate the monetary depreciation it comes with it. If you buy it with no thought about investing or any future investment then this is the best watch and prestigious piece of art you can get. Enjoy it and wear it with happiness and prosperity. WOW. This one is really it. Nothing more you need. I love that this is a watch where Rolex fanboys look at you with eyes wide open just to tell you what Daytona you could have bought for the same amount- they do not understand true meaning of value and the derailed prices of the current market- anyway, that this piece you got is such a complete and at the same time ridiculous version of the watch that has been to the moon. Congrats and I envy you for having the balls to go after what you really want. I hope I will do the same one day.

I’m not into yellow gold watches, but it is a beautiful watch.
It’s a much more paler gold and is more subtle than gold used by other brands.

Winding a speedy is pleasurable bc it always fucks you up since you wind it while the crown is still and the resistance is weird like the crown has guards and it’s not popped off.
No other manual watch is like that…
Do you feel like this is the summit for you, or have you got another grail to work towards in the future?
There are nicer watches out there but AP and Patek just don’t appeal to me so for now, this is the summit, but as I get older and things change, I may feel different.
They made you purchase another watch before offering the snoopy? Is that normal for that piece?
In a way, yes. They get the Snoopy for customers with a long purchase history. Mine wasn’t terribly long and it was the end of the year so I’m guessing they leveraged it to pad sales.
I still got it cheaper than on the secondary market though.

What do you mean its a standard stainless steel speedmaster with full gold bracelet and case? The watch should be solid moonshine gold for the case and bracelet.

Its so beautiful but I would never buy a watch like that because you always need to be careful where you go when wearing it. There is people out there ready to cut of your arm to take it from you.

I wasn’t a fan of it but it basically put me at the top of the list and I got 2 watches for less than grey prices on the Snoopy.
Noted! In my opinion there is something unethical about it. We must all do what we think is right about certain things in life. while I’m not judging, all I’m saying is that 80% of people would do exactly what you did. I tend to be in the 20% that would not sell my soul for the greed of the Authorized Dealers and most of all for my own greed…. To me that is just morally wrong. Enjoy your watch!
@@JG-xn7or I hear you and I agree for the most part. With rumors going around that the Snoopy will be discontinued this year, my only options were to go grey or play the Boutique games. I ended up selling the other watch at a $1,000 loss so it only really cost me $1,000 over retail from the Boutique over a $7,000 increase from a random dealer online.
Rolex ADs have been doing this on every watch...buy some diamonds and we'll get you your watch.
