Later in 2003 she and Sarah were at each other’s throats over Sarah’s decision to move in with Todd, and this was before all the years of hell that David caused as a teenager. Even in 2015 she could express her anger, as shown with Callum after he had thugs break into the salon. I think the start of her serious decline was after 2016 when Michael died.
She was once a much serious character back when Corrie was at it's prime in the 2000's and early 2010's. Now she's become a complete joke character much like Heather Trott.
Poor Helen. You’d think she’d have a word with the writers or ask to be written out for good if the character of Gail has run its course, rather than be forced to play cringey scenes like this. Hardly stretching her acting skills is it 🤦♂️ 🙄
