i cried i cant believe i really cried :( i loved loved LOVED Playing the 360 as a kid i remember the good Old TIMES making friends with strangers until you become real friends with them online playing Minecraft MINECRAFT BRUV or playing with my older brother on minecraft online me upstairs him downstairs . Playing resident evil orc Operation raccoon city Heros vs villians and stuff playing gears of war 3 ONLINE and left 4 dead 1 and 2 with people online or playing dragon ball z raging blast 1 and 2 or red dead undead nightmare .playing crackdown 2 so so so sooo sad just why microsoft why cant we just keep it a little bit longer :(

@@Garrettwhite24 There's no real reason to close it. From what I understand, it barely costs anything to keep it up, and Microsoft aint broke. They want everyone to get a Series S/X and get Game Pass. :(

The end of an era is closing in. I've got many fun memories of playing Halo with friends, as well as mucking around in the Saints Row series. I bought a modified console last year and it's been serving me well. I've backed up everything from my well-loved stock 360, been filling in holes in terms of DLC, and enjoying revisiting old favorites as well as titles that I never got to play.
I have pretty much everything copied to a flash drive here. A lot of good memories as well. COD, Minecraft, Skyrim, Fallout, etc.
I'm gonna miss the store by the time it shuts down. But we all know it's just part of life since newer things take over old things nowadays. We can't have something forever, so.

I came very late to this system a couple of years ago and fell in love. I had Sega/Sony stuff growing up but I’ve been spending a lot of time on this system still. I’ve been doing this same thing before I go to bed at night just scrolling through games.

I just happened to stumble accross it while recording. Lol. It's free, but doesn't have a single free table. I spent $2.49 on the Street Fighter 2 table.
This was unnecessary shut down by Xbox people still purchase games on here but life goes on sadly

I bought a table on pinball fx2 n it doesnt show up. Only the 4 demos show up. Any advice?

Hey bro you mind me asking how did you record footage on Xbox 360 because I want to make some old game videos
I hooked it up to my computer using a capture card, used OBS to.... not sure the exact word. Process it(?). Then I use my PC's built-in recorder to record after setting OBS to fullscreen. You can record directly off OBS, but it's kinda quirky.

Mine was $15. You don't need one of those crazy expensive ones

@@ZebrasWorld Fella, I also bought a "capture card" that was like 5 bucks (100 mxn) and it's literally like a usb-hdmi little dongle, so don't sweat it. Search for those and they will work just fine enough 🤗
Best Xbox console oat. It’s sad to see this console come to end. I miss the avatars and wished Microsoft did more with it than just making them all zesty n shit and not even touching them since

@@zombiegamercat777 I honestly wish PlayStation had a feature like that but I guess they saw the future and saw that no one was gonna care for them overtime. I mean miis are basically fading away and Microsoft stopped caring about the Xbox avatars. I don’t think PlayStation wanted to go down that path but oh well
Well, I care. A lot of people did at one time. I remember buying the Skyrim Dajerit armor and the pet dragon for my avatar way back when.

I know ps3 had ps home but that’s discontinued and isn’t like miis or avatars where your friends can see your character in the menu or in other games. If Sony ever does this concept, they should make it something like Sackboy or the Astro bots idk

The Roms? No idea. Series S; if they're backwards compatitble, you can still download and purchase them as usual.

@@zombiegamercat777 it’s a modded Xbox 360 that lets you install games via direct disc burning or through rom files if you want to go down the pirate route
@@olenlanders4007 yeah if you download the correct stealth servers but I usually don’t play online very often, mostly just single player

Unnecessary? It’s been open since 2005 🤷🏽♂️ yea it’s sad and it sucks but I don’t see it as unnecessary. All great things come to an end eventually that’s life. I’m actually grateful it wasn’t shut down earlier.

@@zombiegamercat777 100% no but I’m sure there is a valid reason on why it’s shutting down or why it needs to shut down. Remember it does cost money to keep things running and with Microsoft shutting down a lot of game studios.. my assumption is they’re trying to save money etc. 🤷🏽♂️ it’s a business at the end of the day.

@@zombiegamercat777 I know what you mean and that’s why I said I’m surprised they didn’t shut down the marketplace earlier. I give Microsoft some props in the sense of game preservation over the years but They’ve been losing the race to Sony and Nintendo for a while now. So yes, even though they have money, we don’t really know how much they’ve been losing in the backend, console sales are to the floor all their games have fallen to shit. Xbox 360 was their best era after that Xbox has slowly been dying. Game Pass is probably of one of the few things they have right now that’s making them money and I’m talking by about Xbox not Microsoft as a whole.
I think Gamepass is a reason they're loosing money to be honest. And there was talk of shutting the 360 down about 2019/2020. But I guess with the pandemic people started playing their 360's again and that postponed the closure.
