So I've never seen an episode of this podcast in full, only short clips. But, the first ten minutes are absolutely unhinged and I love it. I hope I've slipped into the most insane episode ever and it's normally nothing like this.

Absolutely Spade, Farley, Sandler, etc are all legends in the industry.
It doesn't get much more Legendary than that.
Back when SNL was actually funny and not total trash!! The people on SNL this past 10-15yrs don't even deserve to carry Spade and those other legends bags for them!!

The original team makes great games and has all the creativity/original inspiration.
Then lots of the core devs leave the studio and go somewhere else.
What you're left with is a much less talented, uninspired, Studio/Cast that doesn't understand the vibe the original team/cast was trying to create.
They're just using the SNL name, which is a shell of what it was.
Old Mad TV is actually a lot more funny than current SNL.
Only reason SNL was considered better during that time was because of their highly talented original cast.
I will acknowledge though that MadTV isn't a live show and there's a lot more pressure in a live show and no do overs.
My favorite lineup of comedians on a TV show ever was Dave Foley, Phil Hartman, Andy Dick, Maura Tierney, Stephen Root, Vicki Lewis, Joe Rogan, and Khandi Alexander.
That era was great but I preferred the one after with Will, Cheri, Fallon, Kattan, Sans.
I will say, David's era produced the most stars.
Bobby is a such a huge dichotomy... helps younger comics, seemingly has a huge heart, but then does weird (and probably frustratingly more) immature stuff like not respond to friends texts, shows up late to things, etc. Lol you can tell Andrew is holding in his anger and Bobby knows it.
It's all super transparent and he admits that he helps promising on comics with the hope that they will help him someday, because holy shit does he need it to survive.

As someone whos 21 and didnt grow up on David Spade, he was totally boring. I couldnt care less about his obscure career tidbits recounted with little energy. His anger at Bobby was justified but Bobby’s defensive reactions were hilarious and saved this podcast. David “30 movies, 70 commercials” Spade came off like an entitled boomer who thinks too highly of himself to be unserious.The way he kept saying “oh someone remembers” when they brought up his old works was so insecure

But he brought his A game to this episode and he was just conversationally funny and his words were interesting. I have no doubt if Bobby was 20min late or less, this would have been a solid podcast
