Train Simulator 2017 - TGV on a 1940s Interurban Line

- I got to thinking, "what if a modern TGV trainset was placed on a 1940s interurban railroad like the Sacramento Northern?" Trying to round corners, navigate the streets, going the speed limit would be a bit of a challenge. Here are the results of my highly sophisticated and ethical experiment.

This is the perfect example of "Just because you can do it, doesn't always mean you should."
If a TGV did get to the 1940’s, that would be time travel for sure.
That train power car alone would consume so much power that there would be a blackout for at least 20 blocks.

When the TGV rounds a sharp Sacramento Northern curve, it reminds me of the guy who runs 80' scale model passenger cars with truck-mounted couplers around the 18 inch curves on his model railroad.
I laughed so hard.
even if it means waiting years for the next engines of amtrak episode, please make more of these, and include more Jeremy Clarkson.

Interesting simulation. In Italy ETR 200, able to reach a 203 km/h speed in 1939, did regular service between Naples and Milan from 1939 and 1941 but clearly at speeds less than 200 Km/h. It reached a 105 Km/h of average speed between Rome and Florence

Today I learned that the TGV is prone to roll over.
No it’s just the rails of the time can’t handle the TGV. They were designed for slower engines.
Optimaloptimus50 50 and shorter ones at that.
Part of the reason why high speed rails had a large turning radius, and the Advanced Passenger Train have to tilt but is still limited by the tracks.
I dub the TGV: Reliant Robin of the Railways.

This stuff is hilarious!! I got MSTS mainly because I wanted to do what I saw in youtube videos. I wanted to add a Chessie System locomotive (consist) but had no clue on how to do it. So I went to the MSTS train forum, and right off the bat with the questions I was asking, people were like, "you just want to crash trains! don't you?!?" And I kept my wordings and things kinda brief, but then at the end I said something that directly correlated to crashing trains, and the guy was like, "see!! I knew it!!" I guess on that forum, most people are either hardcore train enthusiasts, or former train engineers, or have at some point worked on a railroad. I basically said that it's a game, and that no one is getting hurt by it, and those people on there just couldn't take it lol. They acted like I was an evil person because I wanted to wreck trains haha. I changed some info on the one consist, and it does like 2000 mph lol. Fun times.
I can imagine a german Hienkel plane flying over the TGV pulling the tanks along when it had derailed and blowing it up.
