    In this video we go through how to remove and fit a front wheel bearing in a 2007 Toyota auris
    Some handy tips and tricks in the video
    In a lot of cases when you go over 40 miles an hour you will hear a rumble the faster you go the louder the rumble gets this can indicate your wheel bearing is worn or going you want to sort your wheel bearing out as soon as you can as it can cause damage to other components in your car suspension parts and tyres which will end up costing you a lot more money in the long-run preventive maintenance is the key

    Those are indeed very easy to replace...

      @@bodgitandleggitgarage Where do you get the Factory bearing. Is it KOYO/Seiko Bearing or SKF? I am afraid to buy after market especially soft Chinese steel.

  • @TheDisgruntledMechanic

    Well you can lump me in with the jealous ones with the ease of that hub replacement! damn, you make it look easy! Thanks for the video Leon.

    Most rotors can come off that way and easy. But I have dealt with some where big nasty does need to come out. Salt and metal are not nice to each other here in Michigan!

  • @Robin-hj7kj

    It's not quite as Eric O because if I am not mistaken he uses some grease between some parts to slow down the rust.
    But anyway nice video mister Leon... lol.

    I would love to laugh but the first set of pads and discs I changed on my GF's old Toyota Aygo took a lot of work to break the discs free of the hub. A good solid grunt is enough torque for anyone! ;-)

      Hi I've done a video on torque settings before and this is a heavy grunt lol all joking aside when you work in a garage for a long time you really do not use Talk second only on certain parts of the engine you just get used to it so unfortunately I cannot tell you the proper torque settings as I don't use them and never had an issue

    I know money always comes into it however it just seems such a shame that you've done the labour to remove those discs to change the wheel bearings that you couldn't fit the new ones at the same time that surely would have saved the customer money in the long run great video thank you

  • @drivewasher
    @drivewasher Před 6 lety

    There's play in the bearing because there is no nut keeping the two halves at the right compression. That's why the torque setting is so important on the drive shaft nut with these type of bearings. I still think ugger duggers are more accurate than grunts though lol....
