- Taking Ozempic? What To Avoid, Who Shouldn’t Take It, Factors That Worsen Side Effects & Cancer
Ozempic (also known as Semaglutide, Wegovy and Rybelsus) is a medication used to treat Type 2 diabetes and has been recently being used for weight loss purposes. It is a GLP-1 agonist, meaning that it binds to GLP-1 receptors to cause decreased gastric emptying, satiety (feeling full), and improved insulin release from the pancreas. However, use of these medications can cause unwanted side effects including nausea, vomiting and hypoglycemia (a low blood glucose level). Certain ways of taking the medications, along with taking other herbal medications or prescription medications while taking Ozempic/Semaglutide, can all increase the risk of side effects. In this lesson, we discuss important information and considerations for using Ozempic, including what interacts with it, patients who shouldn’t use it, and ways to reduce risk.

What about kratom? And Armor thyroid or tirosent thyroid medication? My endocrinologist gave me a 6week trail but I have no thyroid due to thyroid cancer. He sees sooooo many people a day I don’t think he fully looked into my case to make sure it’s safe. If anything when I asked about it, he seemed like he was in a hurry and trying to push me out so the next person could go in. So I know I’m no one special, and an endocrinologist, looking into my case to see if this will work for me or not.
Then choose a new doctor. Or make him take the time to listen. And if he don't. Turn him in. You are the only one that will stand up for yourself
@@janetodell6685 all doctors are like this, however it could’ve been me being over sensitive that day feeling like he was trying to get me out the door. He’s a really good doctor and I’m able to message him through a patient portal and they always answer back within one day. It was just that they particularly I have more questions.
Used semaglutide and threw up around the clock. After 2 doses, had to stop
The difference is they changed the name so they can extend the patent.
I have been on Ozempic for almost 5 years. I am type 2 and it has been a wonder drug. I have PCOS which causes insulin resistance. Ozempic along with my other diabetes meds seem to be the winning combination. I am on .5 and it started at .25. Dr did lower the Humalog and Lantis but I still take both. I am still on Metformin. I am on 38 different meds. Ozempic is one of the few that did not give me side effects. And I do take Levothyroxine and Lasix. Just in case anyone is interested.
Someone stop the celebrities and rich people from taking this drug away from people who need it
First 😃
Ozempic has never been 2mg per week that's false
Now talk about the benefits...no?...too soon? Not good enough click bait?
How about if you just read the title? Nothing was click bait.
