Thank you😊
Man ive never felt so tired..im literally falling asleep driving home from work...
Does this go away..
So sorry to hear that, the fatigue can be intense for sure. It does resolve for most of my patients. You can ask your doctor for advice on how to manage it, such as optimizing nutrition.
Hi. I just started .25mg on yesterday, Sunday, and I'm doing pretty well except for one concern; is anxiety or insomnia a side effect?
Hi! Great question, because in the clinical trials “psychiatric disorders” were higher in the placebo group (the patients who did NOT receive Ozempic) than those who received Ozempic…… but I do have a couple of patients who report the side effects you mention.
Will this medicament help with my insulin levels, which are high alongside with the weight loss?
Hopefully it will improve your sugars so that you can reduce your insulin, but everyone is different!
How do I know my dosage is correct for me?
Everyone's needs are a little different. Please follow the instructions from your prescribing physician.
So I can rotate from one thigh to the next one skipping arms?
Yep, for sure!
Please address the unrelenting fatigue
Fatigue can be a result of the medication itself, or as a result of rapid or significant weight loss. There isn't really a quick-fix but it usually resolves over time. Lots of protein and hydration can help, but you should speak with your doctor to address your specific needs. Some of my patients find vitamins can help boost their energy.
How about not enough calorie intake will always cause fatigue.....
@ismaelyoblonski3510 It can, but how can you know that if you're not treating the person?
I'm sure they're eating fine. If the person is doing this for weight loss, it's doubtful that even on medication they're not eating enough. It's just adapting to eating the correct amount and the effects of the meds on insulin. No one is starving.
Today i’ve injected my first dose in my stomach, can my next application be on my thigh?
Yep for sure!
Is injection in thigh less effective as the in the stomach or same?
@@OffroadLifestyle5thgen it is as effective
Started yesterday and I have such severe headaches
So sorry to hear that - you often don't hear about headaches, but it is definitely a known side effect with this med. I always remind my patients to make sure they stay very well-hydrated, especially with the summer heat months coming. If your headaches persist, let your physician know. Best of luck!
@@watkinsmetabolic thank you kindly. Not as bad now. Fatigue & joint pains still persist. We going into winter here😁
She said how to PREVENT the symptoms but not a single word about managing them.
Reduction of severity of side effects is a way of managing them. As I mention, there are over-the-counter remedies that are available too. Is there a specific side effect that you are struggling with?
If you inject in your thigh, does this lessen the possibility of nausea ?
Yes it certainly can!
Yes. I have heard it does
Damn it I wish I read this comment before taking it in my stomach. It's alright tho, till next week
I've been on ozempic for 5 weeks. Nothing works! Tried injection on thigh, no difference at all. Almost ready to give up.
@@vv9144 talk to your doc about reducing your dose and increasing it very slowly. Might help. Best of luck!
so this drug makes you eat half as much and you lose weight. isn't that just a substitute for willpower?
There is so much more to obesity than willpower or eating less and moving more. This video explains the science behind obesity.

No, first of all when you have high insulin level it helps your body to be more sensitive to insulin and this is one of the reasons to take it.
Not just that, what a glib question. Wow. It is what it is and helps where ppl need it. Is that ok with you?

my doc recommended this for weight loss AND borderline diabetes so I am willing to try it. just gotta get the nerve up to use the needle i know its not supposed to hurt. I'm just that way about needles
Totally understand! That is very common - the first injection is always a bit scary. You could always ask your pharmacist or doctor to give you your first one or walk you through your first injection. Good luck!!
I just got my first injection yesterday in my doctor’s office. I didn’t feel a thing.
Made me puke like crazy
So sorry to hear that, sounds awful. Unfortunately nausea/vomiting is one of the most common side effects. Did you try injecting in your thigh instead of abdomen?
Be careful of the Foods you’re eating.
The number one way to stop these side effects is to NOT take this drug.
All medications have side effects.

Shut up
