Price Update :
After uploading this review , VW increased the price of the Polo Gti 😫 so it’s no longer cheaper than the Taigo R-Line.

I'm driving the 2023 R Line with all the extras. Driving from Joburg to Durban umcimbi omncane. Day or night no stress. Full tank takes me there and can still drive around 200km or more. I love it!!!

I'd personally go for the T-Roc it's more practical, more spacious than a Polo GTI and more powerful than a Taigo than the 1.0 litre

I'm driving the 2023 R-line Tiago. I wanted the T-Roc but my car allowance was capped at the time to R550000, so I decided to go for the R-line since I do not like the "normal" Tiago. I am happy with my car now, however, in the beginning I felt like I bought it just for the sake buying because it was compulsory to buy a car with the company I'm working for. Yes it very expensive, I put down R167000 for deposit and my installment is R7700 (the car is owned by me, but the company gives me an allowance). I did get many quotes from various dealers and I ended up with a huge discount. I added a sunroof and wireless charging and my total was R500000. So it depends how you negotiate.

The reason we have rear fog lights on these cars is for driving in the rain whereby people can't see your car in front...I dont turn on hazards no matter how hard it rains coz my fog lights are always on for that matter.

Polo drivers with their rear fog light on in clear conditions is very annoying. It is too bright for people with sensitive eyes. And its illegal to use in clear conditions. I wish Polos didnt come with them!

So the Taigo is not really Lebo's car bcz it's not really her name or it's actually her car but Lebo is not really her name?? Anyway she looks pretty, wish to see PA one day, I could tell that Lebo is not really PA when u had to point at the screen and she took some time to change the camera position. You and PA are in sync. Love the consistency 👌👌
Mina and Lebo same whatsapp group, I love Taigo. I see most ppl saying they will rather buy a GTI but I dont know much about cars and most ppl will opt for GTI because of the specs mina I`m just a simple person, i want a simple not so big suv for my little family.
Hazard lights are only to signify danger and nothing else, it entails of a caution or accident ahead. Using them each time it rains minimises the effectiveness of them. However you can use them when the rain is abnormal and visibility ahead is less than another car's length (4 meters). Either than that normal lights are sufficient enough in rainy weather and there is no need for hazards to be kept on as it will distract drivers more than help them.
I think 1.5 TSI engine will be great in R line models.

Mr HowMuch, can you explain why the calculation for fuel is always one tank? Should you make it at least 2 or 3 tanks for the month?
Depends how much you drive. On a typical month driving to n from work and taking local trips, 1 full tank is enough.
Mr How Much bra waka, make it a point and a norm that after you mention the cost of fuel full tank, you mention the range according to the manufacturer’s figure thereafter.
You can use the claimed fuel consumption and tank size to estimate

Honestly: I’d say take T-Roc. It has bigger Engine, More Power and More Room For People. Taigo it is just a full fledged version of Polo. Nothing special about it honestly.
