@@fifi6883 Wimbledon moved to Milton Keynes to become MK Dons. Technically it's the same organisation as the original Wimbledon, but in reality, they're not. Pretty much all of the original teams' fans have moved over to AFC Wimbledon, which many consider to be the 'real' successor to Wimbledon.

I was going to say 'careful what you wish for' but it's much more fun dominating Lge 1 than bumping around in mid table with McCarthy ball. There's a positive attitude around Portman Rd these days, crowds are up and they sell out most away ends. We'll probably see you next season to n the Championship.

There have been a number of "phoenix" Clubs over the years including Accrington etc. Other teams have changed their names slightly when misfortune has affected them, AFC Bournemouth, Brighton among a number of Clubs. The FA's decision to allow Wimbledon to be moved to Milton Keynes was not right and that is why AFC Wimbledon was formed by some Wimbledon Officials and Fans. A purist, using your theories, could say that the original Arsenal was "extinct" as it played in Woolwich (Woolwich Arsenal) in South East London and now exists as just "Arsenal" in North London.

The original Wimbledon doesn't really exist as it relocated and was then renamed.
The current AFC Wimbledon is a new club.

@@lewis72 In my view the club are it's supporters. Also I don't think many Wimbledon FC players were interested in going to Bucks when their stadium opened but I am sure they would love to go to Plough Lane next season. Hopefully in League One.

It's an interesting one because where a club goes bust and the a new club is formed, with a similar name, it's easy to see a continuation but here, the club did play as Wimbledon but in Milton Keynes and still has part of the Wimbledon name in its current name.

did you not see how easy it was for him to steam roll the 2013 title? the teams have gotten a lot worse in general, also United for a good 3 months were in the same form, it took 5 years for Klopp to build his team and 2 billion for city, Ferguson did it regularly with cents compared to that, he got the best out of the worst and made good players world class; imagine giving him 150 million, FOR ONE SEASON. He would probably hit higher than 100 points.
