True Contralto Bliss! She sounds as if "Shakira" & "Cher" had a Child! LOL Who ever produced the visuals & scenery around her for that segment deserves praise for showcasing and setting the mood for that Haunting version of that song! Her Vocal Dynamics are Sick! Though she reaches their low notes easily, she ain't a Contralto. Those women have always a low register by nature. Diana uses a singing technique vocal coaches refer to as a "yawn". I know, VERY bad term given to it.
I think she sounds more like a mix of Shakira and Florence in the Machine

Did you read about her back story as a little girl she was born to a mother that had 7 abortions well didn't happen in Diana case was abused and left on the streets age 3 with a broken arm in the winter time ,relatives took her in but she would barely talk so she was given to an orphanage until a worker there adopted her and a doctor told them to put her in music/singing classes to help her speech the rest is history . The shows she was on is called "You Are Super" for orphans and disadvantaged kids she won that at 14 and then came back the next year (age15) when they did a best of champions from previous shows which she also won .Sings in 5 languages.

Diana demonstrates here the ultimate mastery of a technique that takes months or even years to learn, I mean, up to her level. It is what makes her voice turn so dark, deep and heavy when she wants it to be. The first thing that Diana does is that she substantially lowers her larynx. It is quite often called in singing - dampening the larynx. It is what happens in your throat when you try to speak in a deeper voice. The second thing that Diana does and is done by classical singers is that she uses her mouth very effectively to give her voice a lot of resonance. And it is what you do when you yawn, because othewise you would leak a lot of air through your nose. She uses both of these things in conjuction to produce what you hear. The problem with this is that you have to really a huge amount control over the steady supply of air, because otherwise it will just sound torn and not very pleasant. This sort of control (larynx and air supply) while being so young really makes her awesome. I will be working while you will be streaming and so I wanted to tell you sooner rather than later. Greetings, found your video while falling through the dark rabbit hole that is CZcams. If you haven’t already, one or both of you should really read up on her life prior to, during and after the show. I promise you it is well worth your time. This young lady is a true inspiration for a lot people. You’ll understand why.
She reminds me of Cher, Celine Dion and even Shakira with her vocal. Her stage presence and voice are demanding, captivating and haunting. You can see and hear her emotion through every word.
Seems to me that some of those song choices had double meaning behind them and weren’t just random. Again, regarding her upbringing. But that is an assumption I have and I could be wrong.

By far the Greatest famale talent, who have ever born. Her parent have been really wise and letting she live childhood first. No record deals yeat. Only covers and couple originals.
