This guitar is special to me because of the man it pays tribute to Jason Becker is not only one of my favourite guitarists but also a huge inspiration to me in so many ways. His talent is unmatched and it's beyond incredible what he was able to accomplish both musically and professionally at such a young age. If using this amazing guitar helps introduce Jason to even a handful of players, then it's worth every penny :)

The history of the guitar is that. ok remember that wooden trolley with wooden bricks in it with colored numbers/letters on them when you were a kid if your within a certain time frame, hey they might still make them. Jason wanted it to look like a child's toy your Abc blocks.
That's the whole point, apparently JB loved to troll back in the day, he used to be a Mozart type of prodigy, playing with one hand and doing yo-yo tricks with another ect

It's one of my favorites. When I was a kid I wrecked 2 guitars trying to make my own Numbers guitar. When I could finally get a "real" one it was a gift to teenage me.

I have a JB200C and it is by far my favorite guitar. Never was a big Numbers guitar fan but seeing it in this video makes me want one. I've been really into the song Rain lately, Jason was a master with the whammy bar and seeing his comments after Jeff Beck's passing it makes sense where he got the inspiration from.

Great looking guitar I love how it combines in one guitar a kind of elegant reserved design with the wooden body and then sprinkles in some fun with the colours and the numbers - Beautiful Guitar.
I got goosebumps when you lifted that thing up. JB is my favorite of all times and I really love him. When I was 15, listening to his Altitudes and Perpetual Burn I was so blown away and it was just the coolest thing ever... this was back in early 90s. Congrats man and PLEASE take good care of this jem. Stunning guitar
@Jack Tripper I had two idols throught my teen years back i late 80s and early 90s. Jason Backer and Michael Jordan. Things like this bring back so many great memories. Back then you had MTV, the radio and CDs. And as a young guitar player listening ti Altitudes for the first time was special... when you dont have access to everything you cherish things much more.

Damn! While I try not to judge a book by its cover, I was shocked when you pulled out the shredder beast.
Fun fact, that guitar is a copy of the original one, which was a Peavey. The original was built for Jason by Jim DeCola, same guy who designed the Wolfgang. He's currently a master luthier with Gibson.
If you know or any one passing by can you confirm if that one had Dimarzio`s in it? I think it might have been tone zone bridge Paf pro neck middle no idea. As the Seymour set came much Later.

Hi 👋🏻 , Jason and his life and music is an incredible story, he is by far one of the greatest to ever touch a guitar 🎸, even well before he was 20 ! You’re in for a treat ! Uhh you may want to fasten your seat belt ! 😮 He was amazing even way back then in the 80’s and 90’s and in many ways even more so nowadays. First I've seen of ya. Got to say , your picking and fretting is some of the cleanest I've ever seen. Every note very detailed. Jason becker is one of my favorite guitar players too him and George Lynch are so underrated. Jason becker and George Lynch are two of my favorite guitar players who have some of the coolest guitars ever made.

People often joke that this i a guitar for people who don't know how to play guitar and need numbers, but beyond that being stupid because of who's guitar this is modeled after (Ha!) but it's unironically a FANTASTIC guitar for someone who *teaches* guitar. I've been playing guitar for over 30 years, and I can "sight read" what you are playing in 1/2 the time it would normally take.

I've never cared for the look of the Becker guitar but I love, love, love that it continues to be made and purchased. An ongoing tribute to an amazing player dealt a horrendously bad hand.
I found your channel thanks to the thumbnail with this legendary player's guitar! I don't play any instruments but Jason has always been such an inspiration to me as a human being. His positive attitude even after all he's been through is something I think we can all strive for.
I'd love to hear just about any song in his catalogue as a cover, whether it with Marty or solo... but Altitudes was always something special to me. I think it kind of brought a level of beauty into shred guitar that I had never heard before.

I was stationed in San Diego during my time in the Navy, and so luckily I got to go to the Carvin/Kiesel showroom a few times. Even got to go to one of their headstock revealing parties and meet Jeff Kiesel and snag his autograph on a Carvin case I bought just for his autograph 😂 Still got that case. Sorry for being long winded, I believe I tested out a numbers guitar but I genuinely can't remember now, I definitely tested out a ton of their guitars there, But I seriously can't recall if I did the Numbers guitar as well.. unfortunately.. So can you tell me, compared to an Ibanez RG (they're just the most comfortable playing guitars for me personally) How does that Numbers setup "feel" compared to an Ibanez RG? @@musicianwithchild For sure! I was actually going to compare the two in the video but decided to cut it. The neck is slightly thicker than an Ibanez Wizard. Also not quite as flat. It has a bit more of a radius. I personally like both these things in comparison. Almost feels more versatile this way. The finish on the neck is definitely nicer, INCREDIBLY smooth! And the neck joint is contoured so reaching the higher frets is no trouble at all. My older Ibanez guitars have the block joint which can get in the way a bit more. Hope that helps!

Totally understand about that block joint because it literally is a bit limiting sometimes to not be able to access the highest frets normally, My thumb just has to go out of the equation while fretting in that area lol That neck sounds reeeally nice to play on.
