Nice vid, did a 8" install on my b7. Added sound proof also. I ran seperate wires for midbass so the tweeters run off the headunit and midbass goes with amp. Without the amp it was almost as the original.

@@UltimateDIY i'm from an old bread of people that actually like to put themselves music in their car. homemade car hifi is very very rare now. i do it since 25 years because it is fun to test solutions. like a subwoofer under the front right seat... or medium speakers under the dashboard... having the awesome full digital pionner p90 headunit make it easy ( full digital crossover for 8 speakers )

The original speakers are 2ohm most aftermarket 3 or 4 ohm
if the speaker rms is to high your headunit cant send enough power to move the new speaker
i had the same issue with my B8.5. replaced my stock speakers for 70w rms 210w peakspeakers, but was not as loud as the stock ones
Are you sure? As far as I can tell, the original speakers were 4 ohm. I saw no difference between the original ones and the upgrades, in terms of the head unit being able to drive them.
Nice videos on your channel. On this one are you sure that the rubber surround on the new speaker doesn't hit the door cover?

the cable for the door handle, you lift the front away from the handle and you pull back to release the cable ( white) Clip cable from the handle.

Hi, i watched your nearly all videos, nice contents. I got the same car and my front left speakers, both mid-range and little one near window does not work. Electrician told me speakers are broken but howcome both gets broken? May it be the cables? Do you have any idea what might be my problem?

the speaker and tweeter cable go in the doors u know where they go ? is there some kinda filter hidden in door ? most speaker tweter set u buy got a filter, but dont know how to fit or where to connect.
As far as I know there is no filter in the door. But never searched exactly where the wires go. The dash tweeter is in parallel with the big driver in the door and it just has it's own capacitor on it as a filter.
At around 39 mins in your video, you said so should have made the spacers a little smaller. Could you share what measurements you would have used? And what were your final measurements?
Sorry, but all I know about this is already in the video. I did not write down any values anywhere, so can't remember them.
200mm and you will be safe with aftermarket 20cm speakers. Cannibalizing the oem speaker spacers by dremeling out the speakers and only using the housing is a bad idea. They are way way too big. Had to make them myself because it did not fit at all.

I give the dimensions of the speaker I install in the video. If the one you want to install is smaller, it will fit. If it's bigger, it will not.

Am un A4 din 2012 3G+ cu sistemu de sonorizare standard de 8 difuzoare passive (fara Ass sau B&O) si la fel ca toata lumea eram extrem de dezamagit de calitatea sunetului și ma gândeam la toate posibilitățile de improvement de la schimbat boxe subwoofer etc. pana cand într-o zi cand am găsit un post pe un forum în Germania despre un tweak în Vcds care aparent ar avea rezultate șocante.
Citit și făcut!rezultatul în putine cuvinte WOW în sfârșit a apărut bass-ul.
Momentan sunt încă pe boxele stock ale mașini și pot spune ca fără nici o investiție în sfârșit ma pot bucura de muzica din mașină.
Aparent în Vcds la modulul 56 Radio la Byte 4 (sound profile) se poate alege Între 01 Amplificator intern(cazul meu) și 00 Amplificator extern(ceea ce am și ales).
Sper sa va ajute și pe voi și sa va pună și vouă un zâmbet pana la urechi cum a fost cazul meu😁

Since I have the same absolutely unbelievably bad passive system in my 2014 B8 Avant with MMI, I was also looking for an improvement.
Fortunately, I can suggest a sufficient solution for everyone who really wants to have a much better sound or bass without additional costs:
In the coding of the radio unit, i.e. the box that is located in the back left of the trunk, you can choose between the "sound profiles": "external amplifier(00)" and "internal amplifier (01)" in byte 4.
For me, "Sound profile: internal amplifier" was selected as standard.
So I just switched to "external" and saved it. At first I was a little disappointed that I couldn't find any difference at all, not even after a forced restart of the MMI.
But since everything still worked, the coding couldn't be wrong and that's why I left it that way.
A day later I was really shocked (in a positive sense) that I could now feel the significantly better bass that was practically non-existent before: D
If you then also turn up the bass control in the sound settings a bit, the bass pushes really well, making the window panes vibrate noticeably.
So try it out and don't be too impatient, the bus or the control units will probably have to fall asleep first to accept the new value.

@@UltimateDIY salut,nu sunt audiofil sau ceva dar da după părerea mea totul se aude mai bine mai intens mai plin mai tare.
Din ce am înțeles când schimbi varianta de amplificator se dezactivează și limitarea de frecvente.
Singura parte ciudata e ca mi se pare ca și cum ar fi si un Loudness activat,totul este foarte tare.
Calitatea medii/înalte este cam aceeași doar mai tare in schimb bass-ul se resimte cel mai mult(plin și adanc)

Următorul proiect ar fi schimbarea boxelor și antifonarea ușilor și o sa vedem după cum se prezintă...momentan sunetul e extrem de rich și heavy incat a trebuit sa reduc bass-ul de la aproape max la sub jumătate înaltele aproape la minim iar federal doua poziții în spre spate(boxele pe fata fiind de 20cm parca dau prea mult)
Sa ne anunți și pe noi cum se prezintă la tine mai ales ca ai boxele schimbate😁

Hi! I love your Audi videos. Fantastic! I’m doing the door speakers and wanted to confirm that the existing stock ones (non- B&O) were 4 ohm. The B&O ones seem to usually state their ratings, but these cheaper ones do not.
I’m looking at Dayton reference for all 4 door woofers.

For me it's really hard to quantify, as I never properly heard the original ones while receiving full frequencies. But my guess is that if you don't also upgrade the amplification, you will not hear a great difference between stock and upgraded speakers.
How much would you charge to make a set of the spacers for the front door speakers and all 3 of the dash speakers?
I don't do this kind of work. All I do is for the family cars.

Hi. Sorry, but I do not know. My particular car has the radio unit in the trunk, so it would not be possible. But depending in the radio unit that your car has, it might be possible. Best thing is to send Sony an email and ask.

Honestly...at least in my city it was about the same. Many installers, but not great ones.

No, for me at least, it is still ok. Worst case, you change it with the next bigger value, if it pops.
I bought tools for removing the wires from the yellow jack but i couldn't remove single speaker wire. It's so stuck in it.
Yes, sometimes it's a paint to remove them.

I don't really have a solution, except to try with patience.
I've just seen on a different video that stock Audi (symphony) setups have two amplifier signal setups. Audi nerfed the bass response and for B&O systems the whole care gets the full signal. This is probably why the front speakers got ZERO bass and that sucks that you had to swap the signals off the stock amp to get a bass response up front. You can however enable in VCDS the signal output to what the upgraded sound systems would get.

When the leakers are damaged do they give acode on the obd2? Thanks
Depends on the type of damage. If the woice coil is burned, then they will give a code. If they are juat rattling, then no code.

Salut, și eu tot un a4 b8 am și boxele stock sunt varză..de înlocuit e cam greu că nu se potrivește orice boxă din cauza macaralei pentru că lovește în el , ce boxe mi-ai recomanda față/spate ? aș aprecia dacă ai răspunde :D

Aș vrea să schimb toate boxele de pe uși fiind toate praf , sistemul este cel basic de la audi a4 b8 2009 , am căutat boxe pt ea dar nu intra în ușă din cauza magnetului ..imi poti recomanda niste boxe pentru ușă ? Toate 4 =) mersi in avans .
Salut. In video arat dimensiunile maxime ale unui difuzor care poate intra in usi. Nu le stiu nici eu din cap. De recomandat pot sa iti recomand doar ce am folosit eu in video si stiu ca merge.

Tweeterele nu sunt cele standard? Ai vazut video meu in care le-am upgradat? O sa ai calitate mai buna, dar nu volum mai mare la inalte. Daca vrei sa se auda mai mult inaltele trebuie sa adaugi si tweeterele din usi de langa oglinzi cum are sistemul bang and olufsen. Cred ca sunt niste tutoriale pe forumurile straine legate de asta.

Sistemul audio din B8 e printre cele mai proaste pe care le-am auzit vreodata. Si in Octavia 2 se auzea mult mai bine din fabrica.
Dupa multe modificari am reusit sa fac si B8 sa se auda bine, dar noroc ca si eu pun accentul pe calitate, pentru ca putere inca nu are.
Am sistemul de fabrica cu sub și dif central. Nu aș vrea să schimb difurile. Dacă întorc cablurile cum ai făcut tu dar pe difuzoarele de fabrica crezi că ar fi o îmbunătățire?
Da, cu siguranta ar fi imbunatatire. Eu am schimbat difuzoarele inainte sa imi dau seama ce diferenta era doar de la fire.
O sa fac operatiunea asta zilele urmatoare si revin cu un raspuns. Ce as vrea sa mai fac este sa schimb diful subwooferului si sa ii bag un burete cofrat in interiorul incintei ca suna tare rau plasticul ala gol...vorbesc de modelul avant, unde incinta subului este sub roataa de rezerva

you dont have to remove the whole doorpannel, just put it aside....
For what I did? No way of doing all of that with the door pannel still attached.

@@UltimateDIY Yes, A4 B8 S-Line ABT 211bhp. Just hung the doorpanel on the door. Plenty of space to insolate the door, mount spacer and install 16,5 Blam speakers
