After my two trips to Norway and Mauritius in the last 2 months, these are the first attempts with Edius 9.5 and the abundant video material to create a video in 4k HDR HLG BT 2020.
To watch this video in real HDR HLG, you need a 4K HDR TV. The video is recognized by the latest TVs as HDR HLG video and the TV turns itself over. If that is not the case, switch the TV to HDR manually.

Freut mich. Ich möchte die nächsten Videos in HDR erstellen. Wir haben uns den neuen lg oled65c97la Oled tv angeschafft. Ist schon so ein super Bild. Mit HDR aber umwerfend. Ganz besonders die Bilder vom Sonnenaufgang. War erst mal ein Versuch. Kann nur noch besser werden. Viele Grüße an Euch aus DD.

@@ebs4411 Ich habe die Panasonic Lumix G70KA. Bin sehr zufrieden und was mir aus dem Test sehr wichtig war, dass sie gute Videos macht. Ich hatte davor einen Sony Camcorder der mir nicht so gefallen hat. Hatte nur noch mit Handy gefilmt, bis mein Mann dann meinte, ich soll mir eine andere Kamera kaufen..:-) Liebe Grüße Jutta

Hallo Eberhard, viel zu spät habe ich dein Video entdeckt. Heute habe ich mal wieder etwas Zeit um in CZcams zu stöbern und siehe da, ein neues Video von dir. Ich habe zwar keinen HDR TV, aber auch ohne kann man die wunderschönen Farben genießen. Vielleicht eine kleine Anmerkung, aber bitte nicht falsch verstehen. Der Übergang von Norwegen zu Mauritius ist anfangs ein bißchen schlecht zu erkennen, aber wirklich nur anfangs. Vielleicht wäre eine Schrifteinblendung hilfreich gewesen. Ansonsten ein sehr schönes Video mit herrlichen Naturaufnahmen. Natürlich von mir Daumen hoch. VG Tadeusz
Hallo Tadeusz, vielen Dank für Deinen Kommentar und den Hinweis. Hast recht, dass nächste mal werde ich es berücksichtigen. Sollte erst nur ein Test werden wie ich das HDR Material am besten bearbeite. Danke auch für den Hinweis, dass mit einem Fernseher ohne HDR das Video auch noch gut anzusehen ist. Ich werde mich in den nächsten Tagen einmal daran machen aus dem Material neue Videos zu erstellen.

abs, please help me. it appears to me that the 4k cameras (I have a FDR As 70 like yours) are not conducive
to movement. In other words 4k camera moves are shakey or laggy. Does that make sense??

Par exemple sur l'AX700, faites vous une exposition manuelle ? Si tel es tle cas, à combien de pour cent sont réglés vos zebra ? Vous exposez le HLG à 100% ou moins ? 80 ou 70% ?

La vidéo est éditée en 10 bits et également sortie en 10 bits HLG pour CZcams. Sinon, CZcams ne peut pas reconnaître la vidéo comme HLG. Je travaille avec une exposition manuelle et j'ai réglé Zebra à 100%. Mieux vaut le régler un peu plus sombre lors de la prise de vue afin que les couleurs ne brûlent pas.

Was my first try with HDR in 4k. In the next video I improved the settings and the video is more balanced.
In HDR, the shadows and the bright areas are displayed better than in normal 4k video.

How do you get the 4K UHD feature on the Sony FDR-Ax700?
The picture profile must be set to PP10. Check the Sony AX700 help page for Sony and it is described there..

Hola tus imágenes son bastante elocuentes de los comentarios positivos de esta cámara. Yo estoy pensando seriamente en comprarla. Yo edito con Davinci Resolve y Davinci no parecería la importación de los ficheros XAVC de Sony. Me da la impresion que tus imágenes estan algo subexpuestas. Has retocado el color y la exposición ?. Supongo que has filmado con tripode, todo es muy estable y me ha impresionado la nitidez y los detalles mas aun siendo un video comprimido por youtube. Felicitaciones.
Hola Hugo, este video fue una primera prueba con esta cámara en HDR. Las grabaciones se realizaron con un cardán. En primer lugar, probé cómo tengo que ajustar las grabaciones para que se vean bien en HDR. En ese momento no tenía una pantalla HDR para ajustar todo correctamente. Por tanto, las imágenes son demasiado oscuras. El siguiente video de este viaje resultó mejor y también se puede ver en mi canal. Estoy muy contento con la cámara. I didn't know FDR AX-700 was able to shoot 10-bit video. Is the camera you used actually the Sony FDR AX-700?

Did not see any HDR except in the opening shot with the sun. (Yes I am using a HDR display)
On the Windows PC you first have to switch the graphics card to HDR. After that, CZcams will also display the video as HDR. New TVs should automatically detect HDR.
How can i play this excellent HLG video without HDR monitor? Which software should i use?
You can also play the video without HDR. But then you don't see the full quality. If you have an older TV, it will also help to set the picture to bright and strong colors. The new phones can also display HLG (HDR).

Se la luce non è sufficiente, utilizzo PP4 e lo cambio in Edius durante la modifica in HDR.

Hi. Thanks for the video. My video camera supports HLG and I am planning to upload an HLG video to CZcams. I was told that after using HLG while filming, I don't have to do color grading, and I like it. However, I was also told that if somebody watches my HLG video on a non-HDR computer screen or non-HDR tv, that person would see the odd colors. Could you please express your opinion on that and how to minimize that issue?
I don't know which camera was used to capture the video in HLG 8 or 10 bit. Of course, you can also just upload the unedited video to CZcams. The important thing is that it should have 10 bits, otherwise CZcams will not recognize the video as HLG (HDR). I edit my videos with the new MacBook Pro M1 Max and have a suitable display that can display HDR with over 1000 nits in 10 bits. There I then make the necessary adjustments with DaVinci Resolve if necessary.
The best way is to upload a 10-bit test file to CZcams and then see what CZcams displays on your screen. When outputting from the editing program, it is important to set 10 bits.

If the video looks good on the HDR screen after editing and output from the editing program, it will also be displayed correctly on CZcams. Output if possible also HLG 10Bit 422.

My tv reads this video as HDR but it doesn't have the same lighting as HDR10 and HDR10+ (my tv does HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG). It's kind of weird HLG doesn't use similar nits as the other HDR standards.

This uploader seems to have set reference white at 50%. It needs to be at 75%. Otherwise, SDR compatibility doesn't look right.
Welche Camera wird denn verwendet, die ax700 kann doch gar kein 10bit
Mit dem Recorder von Atomos kann man in 10 Bit über HDMI aufnehmen. HDR wird in CZcams auch nur in 10Bit erkannt.
@@ebs4411 Ah cool, also ist das mit der AX gefilmt? Das hört sich doch ganz nice an. Ja das HLG ist bisschen schwierig in 8-bit :-( Die Details sind schon geil, selbst ohne HLG ist das Schiff richtig detailliert, wahnsinn
Wurde mit der AX700 aufgenommen. Aufnahmen mit der AX700 in 8bit werden auf meinem LG OLED C97LA ebenfalls als HDR erkannt und abgespielt.

I took these pictures with the Sony AX700. I used a gimbal on my trips to Norway and Mauritius. The night shots are also as I have already described. I don't have to change much in post-production. My equipment is under the videos.
