Looks like a slick idea. I hate bucking logs on the landing especially if they are dirty. Also the 3/4 pitch saw will stay sharp much longer. The one on my firewood processor will cut 50-60 cords without sharpening versus a chainsaw that dulls after one cut in dirty wood.
It might work better from the other side of the log where the longer end is supported and the log drops off after being cut.

    Neat. Beats running a saw.
Ya'all need a 6 tire Ponsse with an H8 head.
No measuring and marking by hand, it would measure, cut, and stack neat as a pin.

That’s one neat buzz saw. You can now trim the logs from the comfort of the air conditioned cab. Great improvement

That will be nice on 100 degree days. And rain ones.

Oddly i Iive south of dubuque iowa. Thats a good attachment for you. Save alot of back when bucking logs. I have been felling(spur cutting all i do) walnut all week up here. Keep it safe down there Dan.

In a few days you'll be bucking with that thing like a pro...but I got to say I giggled a little as I felt your pain of "what button do I push...NO not that one, this one!"

G'day Dan, once you've run it for awhile I can see that it will be much faster than a man on the ground, your choice of the 3/4 chain and bar makes sense with all the forces present less likely to derail a chain or bend a bar 👍.

Pretty sweet attachment, I'm interested to see how the saw part/guard holds up to day to day abuse. What's the diameter limit?

I don't know the price of that bar and chain but not having to cut them in the dirt I could see ya saving money for the chainsaw chain.

A very intresting pieve of equipment. Hopefully you/ they can figure out a better way for it to undercut logs. Definitely struggles a bit with the curvey ones.

lol you have to pack the chainsaw and use your back to turn the knots and trim the limbs , you might as well use the chainsaw to buck them up while the saw is running and your packing it around. kind of pointless unlees they are properly trimmed before they are skidded to the landing lmao. i can see an old man using this attachment but the young guys in this industry have got lazy , grown pot bellies and weigh 250+ lbs from to much sitting in machines these days. give me the choice of sitting on my butt in a seat or climbing steep hills and running a chainsaw to fell timber and buck logs ill pick the chainsaw any day.

Back saver. I think it wouldn’t pinch as bad if you was on opposite side of tree then your sawbuck was on the side of the top log your cutting off instead of the side your butt is on
