😂😂🤣 as a black man, the woman’s reaction at the beginning is very accurate. When I was younger, and told people I skateboard that’s the exact reaction I got lol.
I was lucky enough to see them open for David Lee Roth in 1987. Saw them on tour with Warrant during the Cherry Pie days. I miss that era so damn much!
I saw Poison with Ratt in Detroit, Jan 1987. We got to the concert late because we didn't know who Poison was?? All I remember was this song stood out, up until now, more than anything that night.
I've seen them so many times I can't even remember! They were a staple in my 80's music love! The love covers a huge genre, glam, metal, alternative, punk. All of it! My nickname (for a bit) was Cece 😊 wanted a CCDeville since!
You were lucky to catch that lineup ....I think they only did a handful of shows cause Poison got real nervous that Warrant was upstaging them and cut’em loose from the Tour
I partied with these guys and Ratt at the bar of the Hotel Pere Marquette after their concert at the Peoria Civic Center in January 1987. Bobby Dall kicked out the door of a bathroom stall and accused me of not having any balls because I didn't do likewise. I would've myself, but I didn't have $200 to replace the door if I'd been caught. In retrospect, I should've bet him $1,000 that I'd do it. At least then, even if I had been caught, I still would've come out $800 ahead.
Had a big Poison poster on my wall I was studying all the time in my room to keep up good grades in school but on my down time I was always rocking to Poison it was my escape!! 🤘
@@samuraikyokkan its not the music so much as the people who listen to it.. today's young people have declined in their thinking, i mean some eat Tide Pods!! Gee-zz
Different era. Back then, most lyrics were misogynistic to some degree. Now it seems it's only acceptable for rap artists to do that. Apparently it's ok to talk about what you gonna do wit yo ho.
I dont think I live in a country where this would be a mainstream. IDK why these bands didnt get a chance here. From glam metal bands it is only Kiss, The Sweet, Guns n roses and Bon Jovi (if you consider them as glam bands). My mother is always like: Children of Bodom? Is that the band where that guy Nikki Sixx is in? At least she knows that he wrote Heroin diaries which she wanted to forbid me to read. :D
Probably my 1st Rock video I saw on MTV(when it was MTV) and I half to say I still a Poison fan.. back then, with that look, you didn't know any better, this was 1986? Ya I was 9. Ha!
I was so glad when C. C. returned to the band. Poison is, and always will be, Bret, Bobby, C. C., and Rikki. C. C. just fits in with the rest of the guys' high energy and craziness.
Thanks for finding and posting this video! It's getting pretty tough to find these early drag-glam vids of Poison and Crue. These guys took up where the New York Dolls left off, and were a blast of fresh air back then.
I really miss the music I loved, when dudes wore more make up than five girls but were totally straight, and dirty birdies!!!! My first CD I ever ever owned was Look What The Cat Dragged In. Back then CD's were all new and fancy, and they came in a long, rectangular box. They were in a regular CD case, but that was in the box. I saw Poison back in 1989, 1990, and 1991. They actually sounded great live, it wasn't a let down, at all. Not to say anything about them otherwise, but I haven't seen them live in what, almost 30 years......damn, we are all old!!!
"Im a sucker for a pretty face, dont care if she's leather or lace....." I ALWAYS THINK OF THAT LINE BECAUSE I TOO AM A BIG SUCKER FOR A PRETTY FACE DAMN IT. SINCE 12 YRS OLD.
I don't know what made me look this up after 35 years but I remember in the 4th grade... copying the Poison, Metallica, and Iron Maiden album covers on the brown bags we had to cover our books in!!!
Whoever called this Glam Metal (GLAM meaning Gay LA Music) must have seen this video!! Took grunge to bring this down!! But we were all beautiful back then in our 20's. It was a good time!!
Count me in. Put me in 1984 LA, I wanna be right in the THICK of it all just as it's getting started! Will never forget the first time I heard Welcome to the Jungle. = Musical liberation. I was all of 12 and I never looked back!
No, they weren't "overrated", and yes, they did have some metal in them. Thrash, speed, and death metal was not the only metal that there was! Sure, it had about as much pop sensibility as it did metal sensibility, and pound for pound, on their first 2 albums they deserved ALL the respect that they'd gotten...no one could touch them for about 3 years there!
Just heard this again for first time SINCE hearing it growing up in the 80s...Great song...sure wish Poison would get in on the 80s pop/rock stars now touring trend :)
i can listen to Poison and Crue all day long.
SAME!!
Lol, I had to blink and re read that, I totally thought it said cure (as in Robert Smith). I was perplexed for half a sec!!!☠💀🤘
Glad to see someone likes both bands- most Crue fans bully Poison so much!
I love Crue more than poison, but I know more poison than Crue
Same! I need some poison song recommendations tho
I love how fun Poison is. From the music to the videos. This is why I still listen to them.
Love the music videos from the 80's and 90's too
they also heavy as fuck rock n roll! real deal
One of the most fun bands to listen to. Simple, happy go-lucky party music.

I would have loved to see Poison and Warrant together. Can still see Poison, but not Warrant. No Jani, no Warrant.

It is still like this look at trap. They dress like women and talk about drugs and women just like glam rockers.
Music not musoc.
