This has been patched and no longer works.
If you crouch and do it little bit closer to the house you can make logs stack up on top of you so you won't get hurt
There's a new infinite glitch, lay a blueprint down for a tree house, you can hit the treehouse with an axe and it'll destroy it and a bunch of logs will appear as if you destroyed the actual building.

I’ve found a lot of exploits in this game, very simple to do actually. For instance, did you know that there’s no limit to the number of people who can harvest from a corpse? You all just have to press E before the first persons harvest interaction is finished and bam your entire team just got a mutant armor from one mutant. Wanna duplicate supplies? Put down shelves, have your buddy save and then empty his inventory, quit without saving and rejoin the server and bam entire inventory duped. Works for giving Virginia guns as well as your guns will return to you when you reload the save. Want to make an infinite zip line? Shoot the staring part and proceed to walk as far as you can writhing viewing distance and you can go beyond the zip line shooting distance. It’s extremely busted we haven’t tested it yet but theoretically you could have zip lines from mountaintops to tree tops connecting to tree houses and create inexpensive fast transportation across the map

Messed with ziplines. I couldn't get past 77 steps at full sprint.

I bought this game but I don't play it just because of how long it takes to get wood and bases aren't that satisfying to make
