    Arnel's voice is blown out...and you can hear more of his native accent come out versus how he sang years ago...but still overall a good performance.

    I understand the importance of all the musicians , and why they've performed or been inducted at
    The Rock&Roll Hall of Fame, but I would like to put forth a name that hasn't , *_Warren Zevon_* .
    On his posthumous induction, you could have the names like a Waddy Watchtel , Leland Sklar, Russ Kunkel,
    along with Jackson Browne to perform his music . David Letterman could do the introduction .
    I'm sure you might be able to get Jennifer Warnes to show up too.

    • @Fosster115
      @Fosster115 Před 4 lety +4

      I liked Warren Zevon too. I would also like to see Thin Lizzy and April Wine inducted. It's hard for me to believe that Thin Lizzy hasn't been inducted yet, and I hope April Wine will eventually get some consideration too. I know they were much bigger in Canada than the US, but they were still a very good band.

    • @southvaron757
      @southvaron757 Před rokem +1

      I'll agree with "Thin Lizzy", though "Ozzy" would be next on my "Z" list, and about Canadian; shouldn't "The Guess Who" be next? The "I Like To Rock" video, "April Wine" recorded in Le Studio, is one of my all-time favorites. It's a shame that Canadian Rock fans couldn't have found a way to stop such a beautiful, & legendary place from being demolished. My personal favorite, from N. of the border is "Triumph". The RRHOF must be political though. They nominated Dolly Parton and wouldn't remove the nomination after she rejected it. If she's R&R; then why not "Charlie Daniels" or "The Carpenters". And no "B.O.C.", "E.L.&P." "Poco", "Firefall", "Foghat", "Stepenwolf"..............yet "Joan Jett & the Blackhearts" & "Laura Nyro" are in.

    numerous calls for Steve Perry to perform along with his original band members of Journey but they disappointed simply because he did not share his voice to the world anymore.....
    why? here is the catch..... Steve already knew that his voice has taken its toll after singing at a high note almost everyday cities after cities , states by states and outside the USA...and that is why he decided for an early retirement ..... he tried once again to perform intermittently but realized that he could no longer deliver the right high notes ..... same thing happened of Arnel but lo and behold, he tried to survived the rigors of keeping his voice in tact but there were some off nights and horrible moments when his vocal chords betrayed him... you can bet your last dollar if somebody other than Arnel who could complete the whole duration of a night concert singing those epic songs? Steve Augeri? Jeff Scott Sotto? Nahhh they were fired because they cannot stand the required vocal pressure.. Now, we cannot blame Steve Perry for not sharing his voice anymore simply because it is no longer there... At the end of the day, please try to give a little tenderness to our Arnel guys... oh yeah there were off nights but he can still deliver.... Arnel, you're the man ! keep on Rocking dude!

    Definitely the Pineda boy does the work and has his merit( although that was not his best night his voice did not look good)but it was necessary to hear Steve Perry's voice timbre, although the song was two tones lower than the original song, it was a special day and we wanted to listen to Steve, no matter what the song was not in the original tone, the whole event would have shone brighter.

      Yeah, that was pretty f'd up that Steve did not sing at least one of the songs...not sure if he wasn't able to or not. Arnel does a great impersonation and he deserves some props for sure, but there's only one Steve Perry and although they did not separate on the best of terms, Schon should give him more due respect than he has. Journey would not be where they are today w/o Steve. There always has to be a front man and he was it. Great voice and it is certainly missed!

    First off it's good to see Ainsley Dunbar and Gregg Rollie there for this song. Second I wonder if Arnel ever thought that by joining Journey he would be basically be joining the best Journey cover band out there? Have they had any new music out? What happened....Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain can't write a half-way decent song without Steve?

      I agree.
      The last known sight of "Journey" was 1986 with RAISED ON RADIO and even THAT was a fragmented affair, what with Steve Smith and Ross Valory being fired by Steve Perry's newly swole head, as a result of STREET TALK, and all SORTS of "Studio Guns" being brought in to fill in the "blank spaces" that could never be filled by same.
      If I may Maria, here's a song I wrote for Journey back in 1987, in the spirit of what they once stood for.
