Lucille did go home in the morning, she gonna be out roaming each night----BET. I've seen it happen in my own family---to our son. Some gals just aint the "home" type, married or not; just as some guys have roaming eyes.

When this came out, I was in my mid 20s working at a diner near Pittsburgh. I worked with a bunch of 15 year olds who would loudly sing the chorus when they played it on the juke box.
I heard there was a similar song written about a lady who slipped and fell while walking down a flight of stairs .. It was called "You Picked A Fine Time To Leave Me, Loose Heel".🤣🤣😂😂

That exact story happened in my Father's life. My grandfather went to a Bar to get my grandmother. She had left him with "8" kids. One of those kids was 16 and in the hospital dying from Hemophilia. My Daddy was the oldest. Many, many years later, I had walked into that exact bar, and there she sat. (It was also part of a store) She saw me and didn't care. She was a straight-up slut. Yet, when I had my own children, she had the nerve to act all Holy and would talk down to me about how to raise my children. I went off on her.
