- After months of waiting I finally get to surprise Lorin with her very own Tahoe to modify on the channel! I hope you guys & girls are as excited as we are!

My all time favorite tahoe body…was never upset about not seeing a Chevy being how open minded I am about trying new things but I’m excited to see you’ve brought a TAHOE in. I love trucks but there’s just something about a Tahoe, they have a special place in my heart 😫
I cant wait to see it with a modest lift and bigger tires. Clear headlights and led tail lights are awesome too.
Finally a new GM back on the channel. Can’t wait to see you customize the Tahoe. Drop that transmission pan, change the filter and fluid.

Why he wanted an old Tahoe so bad..? My understanding was they are massive piles of unreliable crap. I might be wrong but if you want a big ole body on frame 4x4 what's wrong with any of the old Toyota's. Except the price...
@@TermlessHGW they’re fine once you get rid of the dod crap. After that they have same old chevy problems with oil leaks and rust
@@TermlessHGW i bought my 07 almost new and now has 292k miles, completely stock drivetrain and valvetrain with only a tune. Fires up every morning and goes so I’d call mine pretty fukin reliable.

Make some videos on doing some preventive maintenance on it. Oil pressure switch, gaskets, etc. stuff that’s typical to go out on those motors and relatively easy to do. Can’t wait to see what gets done to it!

That's awesome she got a 2012 Tahoe. I have a 2012 Silverado 1500, and it's a great truck. I bet it has the same all-aluminum 5.3L LC9 and 6L80 engine and transmission as my truck. I love the GMT900 platform.
My 97’ f-150 single cab leaked trans fluid so whenever I press on the gas it revs up to like 3000 b4 really getting speed. Had 3 leaks. My rear diff, carter I think is what its called and where the trans connects with motor. I fixed it now but sounds similar to what the Tahoe did.

i hope it treats you both well. That is a lot of miles. The 5.3 is probably fine. It's the 4L60E trans... I have not had the best luck with those. I've done much better with the larger drive trains, 6.0 and the 4L80E trans.
Should be a 6 speed trans. 6l80 if I'm not mistaken

If that's the 4L60's they all go out at 150,000ish-200,000. They were out up until 2013. If it's the 6 speed they do a lil better. I noticed all the service lights on the instrument cluster too.
First thing you should do is fluid changes and filters for transmission, oil, diffs, transfer case, etc.
Also, it’s got a few lights, so I’m curious what those are for
