Also run out of petrol drive the car of the road with the starter motor. Bicycle would not draw enough current to over heat. Starter motor would be much more rugged than bicycle motor. Most likely indestructible.

thi starter motor idea is a bad idea, it designed for intermitant duties, to just start an engine, running this motor for any length of time under load will cause it to over heat, as there is no cooling provided . i know this as a Motorcycle mechanic who has tried diffenet starter motor for car or bikes and realised they all fialed due to over heating...... Dont believe it? disable the fuel pump in your car or bike and just crank over the engine, i bet if the battery is ggod, the starter motor will fail first ....
Starter motors are not designed for continuous operation...

The same applies to front wheel drive cars, they are dangerous especially in wet conditions.
