TheMotorBlog I think you’re talking about the cupboards above my bed I basically fixed to 3 x 2 to the unit and the side wall of the van obviously the inside part and then just framed it up covers us in MDF and then put a door on it and made it look pretty but that’s presuming you’re talking about the little cupboard above the bed . If not let me know mate

So, 1 inch mdf, 3 sections and hinged. You've done nice work there. Lot to like. Had my campervan for quite some time, but it's only now that I need to think about a bed for the pop-top space.

    • @UrbanVanlife

i had the same thought as you mate , i was like how much for a section of wood , no no no i dont even know how they justify charging such a price for a bit of ply or mdf its a joke , , and of course your never going to get some one like me up there for for lighter people and kids its perfect and something you can easitly do your self with a bit of thinking , and also doing it in 3 sections lets you leave the rear one in all the time above the bed which is great as a storage shelf when your out , cos lets be honest smaller vans are small and we need the space , thnaks for the commment mate let me know how you get on

wow 500 hahaha thats a bit over excessive that , cheeky baskets . basically i just used 2 sections of 3/4 ply and teh second section is on a hinge so it goes in half , but the width of the van shouldn't matter at all , you could fix teh pistons to the roof or to the bottom , it would be one of them jobs that would be a case of getting the parts then just figue in out where you was going to put them , and probably make some of your own brackets up as well . but it could be done , just think out side the box , but mate so many people get ripped off now days its really annoying to me ,
