A few years ago the American Girl Store came to Orlando and I couldn't believe it! I grew up with American Girl and I would have LOVED having a store in my state at that age! I went there twice and every single time I feel like a kid again! And I hardly feel like that as an adult! I didn't even care that if I was old, I was having too much fun! Thank you for coming to my state! I can't wait to go again!
LOVE this style of video. This type of content is valuable to people that do not have access to a local store and the descriptions and commentary that you provide on the items is very helpful. I know you said you aren’t a fan of being on the other side of the camera but it suits you well!

I worked as a Visual merchandiser at the Atlanta location. It was so fun to create the displays.

Totally Rudy--I've noticed that, when AG puts out a new item, within a few months, bits and pieces of that new set show up in Target for the OG series and now in Walmart for their 18-inch doll series, My Life. For instance, Walmart's My Life series has a WHITE bathroom playset, along with a living room, arcade game, bedroom accessory furniture packs and more. Also, if you go to Big Lots, you can find 14-inch dolls similar to Wellie Wishers and some clothing for 18 and 14 inch dolls. Big Lots is where I got white plastic beds that can be stacked. Walmart has a set of those, too, and sometimes in other colors.. The Big Lots quality isn't so great, BUT if you REALLY like to sew and craft items for dolls, find a copy of Venus Dodge's book , The Dolls' Dressmaker. Hats, purses, shoes (a wide variety of foot configurations) patterns, and instructions. Virtually limitless options and most outfits take "fat quarters", which is a dollar-saver. It's no longer in print, so check eBay. Shoes can be made of felt. I haven't tried to make leather soles yet...it's on my bucket list. I bought leather needles for my sewing machine and hand sewing, so it's a start!!

Carpet--If you go to Lowe's and Home Depot (and other home improvement stores) when a carpet is discontinued or you want a sample at a minimal cost, that is ONE way to carpet a doll's room or, if you've built one, and 18 inch doll's house (mine is 24-inch wide bookcases turned on their sides and configured to provide a balcony (with spindles and rails from craft or home improvement stores), a bicycle storage, and a garage for the car/jeep. By the way, I'm in my eighth decade and I STILL play with dolls.

I live in Michigan and Michigan does not have any big AG stores except a small mall one that only opens towards the end of summer till the end of Christmas that I go to.

Rudy, I was at the store... I think yesterday? Yeah, yesterday. At the American Girl store I go to, they have almost EVERYTHING on display. I absolutely do want to tell you though, American Girl has went back to amazing authentic quality accessories! For example, Rebecca's set (called Rebecca's Sabbath Set) has real ceramic, metal, wood, and GLASS. I am super glad they chose the old route. When I went to thew store, I purchases the Elf on the Shelf. I agree with you, the book not being included is a bummer. I love the touch of the lollipop, letter, and stocking. If you were to get this product, What would you name the Elf? It is so tiny and cute. I name it Elfis Presley. (It is supposed to be Elfis) Sorry this is a long one. Us Berry Members have a lot to say. Take care now! ;)

@@TotallyRudy LOL, When I purchase items at American Girl, I like to open them at the store to make sure it is what I like. Often, American Girl stores are not near where people live. I live two hours from the one I go to. I go there every month to purchase new sets. Worth the drive when you like what you buy. By the way, how is Georgia? I have been to Florida, so I have a little taste of that area. Wish you well!

I had no idea previously that AG made changes to Maryellen's Seaside Diner. Also, I don't feel that it was necessary for them to get rid of Julie's set of monkeys or her deviled egg set. Also, unfortunately less than two years after your video, I don't think that Julie's bowling 🎳 set is still available.

My kids love watching these we had to get all of the girls a.g dolls and books etc out of my new house Im renting due to the landlord showing the home without consent and viewers of the home and her child as well stealing them my girls are massive collectors of a.g to me I'm livid cause their expensive to the sneaky landlord and the women trying to rent this after I've signed my lease it's dolls. She tried the oh my daughter don't have any dolls but my kids and I cought her illegal tenant around the side of my neighbors home on many occasions other items turned up missing and her child was seen wearing items smh my kids will be watching videos until I move then they can safely collect a.g items again
