Are yall in the replies that dense enough to not notice the damage on E CC application was halved? That is what OP was referring to and i saw it myself, the E punch bonus damage got ripped apart, the "secret OP" thing in the video. Its marked as such after it got HALVED. Holy F, that thing deserved it if its this good now.

I actually fought an Alistar top as tank volibear once. I never thought I'd see the day where Alistar would be a worthy opponent.
I'd gladly fight against one again in the future, it was unexpectedly fun.

After seing this video I played this build with my friends in a normal. I was against Tryndamere, this is how it went: min 3 I pushed him once into tower, killing him and then he wouldn't do any damage to me in the entire game, i group with my already dead team and I did a quadrakil against a full AD team and a Leona. My final score was 24/1/9, the enemy team surrendered.
Of course it was a normal, the real challenge was playing with my friends, they all loose the laning phase and somehow I ended up carrying with an Alistar Top.
Nice to see someone else do better with your pick. ^^ Really though, I'm happy to see that someone is being really successful with Ali Top and it encourages me to keep going.

I actually do this to with some slight variations. I take futures market as a secondary for early cinder/bramble. Glad to see someone made it so high with this though
My diamond buddy had this guy in some of his games and we'd be surprised randomly seeing alistar top get first blood and leave lane like 4 or 5/0 lmao
I knew this was possible, i blind picked Alistar Top after being autofilled Top (i just play mid and used to pick some random shit when autofilled top lane, now i just dodge if i dont get mid), and the enemy Top Laner went... Heimerdinger. I solo killed him 4 times in laning phase without dying and we won, we didnt win because of me, but we won.
CSing was impossible but i knew Heimer just wanted to shove lane and get tower so i did what i could to stop him, which was run at him nonstop. And it worked every time.

feel like this pick is only better now with the new tank items. heartsteel and jak'sho both make him way bulkier than he already was and are great second items after sunfire/bami's cinder if you wanna stack heartsteel as early as possible
I actually found that strategy out several months ago, mostly because of how much I love Grasp as a rune on any slightly tanky champion

I played against this dude before when I was playing Kayle. Tbh Kayle against any tank is decent enough. But I was so wrong until he started tower diving at 6 and he actually pushed me out of lane too the point he cut off my xp supply.
Lore accurate alistar also participated in the noxus arenas prior to getting out so I welcome him facing off the bruisers in top lane.
I tried this a few times, but had more success with Magic Pen into LIchbane or Divine sunderer to get more guaranteed damage ratios. Regardless too much of his kit is gated by CD for you to realistically solo carry or 1v1 consistently unless they the enemy is throwing, and if I need the jungler to kill getting a bigger burst was much easlier to pull off
I did this in a normal game out of panic a couple months back and did surprisingly well. Not surprised this showed up here

This is really close to what I've been running with Poppy top. I took the runes from Viziscaci. Ali just scales better than Poppy, but Poppy has a strong early game.

Your channel is the league equivalent of southpaw fighters in boxing. Unorthodox/uncommon styles will always have an advantage due to the opponent having less experience into your style.
Except this is more akin to using kicks in a boxing match and not getting caught.

I wish there were more "carry" tanks in top lane, its my favorite playstyle. Mundo was my go-to for a while but they keep nerfing him :(

I've seen a lot of assassin tanks(like ornn for example) with a full rotation of spells they one-shot the ad carry.
Its hard to do this now due to sunfire being a non mythic anymore. Maybe jaksho is the replacement

who would you play, a lame cow that ignores some damage, or a gem chad that is immune to all damage and also makes his teammates unkillable? (he can also aoe stun and heal on command)

It has become kind of a meme of how off-meta picks winrates drops in low elo after HappyChimeNoises makes a video about it, but actually I think this would work pretty easy in low elo as long as the user has some experience being a tank, for people who's hardstuck like me it is pretty common to see that almost every team comp is made up entirely of squishy carries, no one in hell elo wants to use tanks and that's why they're so succesful.
It's my own experience of course but everytime I see an Akali, Yasuo, Yone, etc top I just know I'll win lane easily or at least resist it without feeding a Mastery 7 one, I definitely be more careful when facing another tank like Shen, Mundo or Cho'Gath than I am when facing squishies
I play Alistar top in Wild Rift from time to time. Getting solo kills on Darius just feels too nice

i had a GP on my team lose to alistar top on NA. needless to say was a rough game for our team.
You'll see me in grandmaster within 2 months with adc twisted fate. Took a second to get down the strat, but Holy shit was it worth it.

@@meezy1579 Spam upgrade E anytime it's avaliable, this gives you way more attack speed than any adc early. You take lethal tempo for extra range bonus and you run treasure hunter for 2nd rune tree if you have a weak opponent early. If not you run inspiration tree and get the free boots plus the debt rune. Get into game and get cull to stack up the extra gold once u have enough for noon quiver you do a quick b and time it right with the wave to bounce back into your tower. Build kraken, into runnans hurricane (it applies your e every aa if more than 3 enemy's are near and getting auto attacked. You then rush into guinsoos and then go for situational items, preferably get blood thirster into last item which you choose, just make it crit item so it stacks onto rage blade. Enjoy

I am a jungle alisatr player and I'm glad to see someone getting to master by playing alistar where he shouldn't be played at. People never trust me when i play alistar on jungle unironically
Why would you even play him jungle 😂 in toplane i understand but why jungle. Low mobility, very slow clear, and your exp gain as jungler is cut half when the main point is to give up gold and gain more exp.
