- A small clip from Look Around You. I remember watching TV transmissions for schools and colleges when I was a nipper. Sometimes we had no idea what they were talking about. They must have had that in mind when they made this. Pure genius!
- Hry
I named my cat Bumcivilian. Write that down in your copybook now.
I cannot, left it on top of my synthesizer and forgot to turn on the burglar alarm.
Your comment is 8 months old. 8 months. Write that down.
Don't forget to hand your copybook in at the end!
Wonderful! A splendid name for a cat!
The pride of roast Britain.
I use bumcivilian to ensure a quiet working environment. Thanks, bumcivilian. Thumcivilian.
Bum civilians, in [homes], often set market prices for things made to be thought of as financial services when youve never been shown the actual value of anything.
Bumcivilian was one of my first Steam multiplayer handles back in 2006. nobody got it.
Dr Serafinowicz's work in the field of bumcivilian has gone unheard for far too long.
Get out.
@@mariic2 id hate to see the effect on pitchblende
Modern science is too much of an echo chamber to recognize real work like this.
Point-point-five-point-oh-five microgallons. Hardly any at all!
I love this narrator he seems to be able to pronounce vowels as superpositions of several at once. Next becomes niext etc
He just speeks fluid quantum english. Quite easy to hear, especially for german ears.
@@schwarzemilch They did a study on this, back in 1973. Thus, they moved away from the edge-pacific English to Quantum English. It's why educational films before this have a weird twang on them.
..5.05 microgallons
Ah yes the famous chemical compound of sound, Sound Trihydride.
Mix bumcivilian with hot water to make a refreshing beverage. Tastes a bit like bovril and death.
Very important to never mix up brown iron and red iron, the last scientist that did set off the Helvetica Scenario. Apparently somewhere in Nottingham you can still hear the screams, well you could, if they'd not coated the place in Bumcivillian....
*sighs*
How many times must you "armchair scientists" be told?
HELVETICA ONLY OCCURS WHEN THE QUEEN ATOM LEAVES THE CALCIUM NEST
Honestly - read one copy of Popular Science in the doctor's waiting room and suddenly you're a bloody expert, eh?
Kids these days...
@@dontbefatuousjeffrey2494 I bet he has Dave Syndrome
We couldn't live without Bumcivilian
We couldn't live _with_ it, either.
I use bumcivilian in my chicken coupe to help the hens lay more eggs.
Nice car, the Chicken Coupe...have you got an limited edition Rooster?
What the heck Jafro, how did you end up here?
"I want to end a bit with a man mashing a bell and screaming"
Bumcivilian is my 2nd favourite element.
What’s your favourite element Momo?
Mine is the element of surprise
I wish they'd release the second season on DVD or Blu-ray in the U.S.
I once misread an advertisement in the back of the newspaper for bumcivilian. It was embarrassing for all concerned.
That's what happens when you join the army... Go away on tour, come back again and you just don't quite understand the world around you anymore.
@@RatelHBadger Sounds more like the Navy to me, somehow...
“Via a pipette” 😂
That's the actual name for it IRL
@@gitman3486 I know that, I just hadn’t heard it since science class 30 odd years ago
I remember Ravenscroft pans from Chemistry lessons
I’m trying this right now
ravenscroft pan haha
Lmao I can't believe I thought this was real science when I watched this as a kid
So...if I did this with sulphur, would I get brown sulphur?
0:17 ok so tongs do exist in the world of look around you. I guess the scientist boiling that egg forgot to write it down is copybook then.
7 people forgot to ring the bell
Thants.
what's the music playing during the break-down close up?
I believe all the music in the show was composed by Robert Popper
It's Bumcivilian No. 5 in D minor
It's that sound effect again, at 0:17.
It is delightful
I neeed about a micro gallon of bumcivilan to finsh the back part of a bike I'm building out of 10 year collection of microplastic in my washing machine
..5.05 Microgallons
I put bumcivilian through the Encabulator.
Not pretty
anybody knows the song in the beginning?
Soundtrack for this series is by Boards of Canada... not sure of the individual song names though.
It's the famous BBC Radiophonic Workshop!
It sounds like the work of Delia Derbyshire to me.
The guys from Boards of Canada were not even born or just infants.
See here: czcams.com/video/n2dvGQ32q8g/video.html
It's Peter Serafinowicz himself, in the form of Gelg: waltpanorama.blogspot.com/2009/03/music-gelg.html
Never mix bumcivilian with trouserium triiodide in a Ravenscroft pan. It’ll bugger your fume cupboard.
Stegblob's YTPs brought me here
..5.05 xD
