    Respect for not clipping out the emotional part. I lost my mom last november so It is still raw for me. I loved how you showed your emotions. Very human and natural. Great desk setup btw.... love it. Take care.

    Very nice. I actually am using two of those hime depot counter tops in a L shape configuration (got the idea from pc battle stations youtube channel). I like hoe you mounted one side of desk to studs in wall. I thunk I might do that for the center corner. Also love the sit stand portion as well. Nice job.

  • @civicmatrix1

    Everything looks nice but just be careful with that wire box because coiled or compressed electrical wires generate heat and can be a fire risk. Just keep an eye on the temps.

    What's the lighting you have on your ceiling? Some kind of galaxy projection light or something?

    Great tutorial. I am also curious if the rubber bottoms on the furniture legs are anti slip and if they will stop the desktop from sliding across the furniture legs when the tabletop is pushed. You do not really need to worry about that ig because your desk is against the wall. But I was wondering if the rubber was slip resistant enough if the desk was not up against a wall and someone slightly pushed the desk top.

    • @chilldadreviews
      @chilldadreviews  Před rokem +1

      Yes it does have rubber to help grip the top and so far it's stable as a rock!

    Everytime I come across one of these videos I need to make this disclaimer. I suck at finishing. Well, finishing by hand. If you are too nitpicky and adhd perfect you will never stop touching the damn thing. Get yourself the $15 HVLP spray gun from Harbor Freight to go with your air compressor (you don't have one? why not? you will use it all the time! they're $99) and you will never curse at your mistakes again. Shellac? Easy. Polyurethane? So simple! DO IT.

    How easy was it to drill into the alex drawers? I wanting to add legs to the bottom to raise the whole thing up instead of having a gap between the tabletop and drawers. Just not sure how easy it is to drill into particle board or whatever the alex drawers are made of. Did you just drill the screws directly into it or did you have to drill a hole first? Sorry for the questions.... 29 yr old female who isnt the handiest. Lol

    • @chilldadreviews
      @chilldadreviews  Před 2 lety +1

      No worries! Yes it is very easy I was able to screw directly into the Alex drawers but I have experience with drills and handling this type of wood. The safest way is to drill a very thin pilot hole first with a drill bit then screw in your screws. Just take your time and don't over tighten the screws as this "wood" will just give out easily.
