Cranberry Orange Muffins:
2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup cranberries
1 egg
3/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
1 teaspoon grated orange zest
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir in cranberries. In a small bowl, beat egg, orange juice, coconut oil, and orange zest. Add wet mixture to dry ingredients. Stir to combine until just moistened. Spoon mixture into muffin pans with liners. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned.

It wasn't boring at all! It was refreshing the way you love simple things like the smell of strawberries and leaving door open for fresh air and the sounds of birds. The raccoon was an added bonus!🌻

Leave the racoon a bowl of his on your deck. Then he shouldn't come in. Also water. We have racoons at the beach at our house, We feed them dog food.

To thaw more quickly, place item in a plastic bag, get the air out of the bag as much as possible, seal the bag, then plunk it in a bowl of cool/tepid/lukewarm (not too warm) water and it thaws more quickly and thoroughly.
Tip: Same goes for if you if you get very cold in winter - warm water running over cold hands heats faster than warm air.
Boring!? You do more in a day than I do in a week. AND your home and yards are so pretty. AND that special visitor! I almost choked!! Thank you, Mary.

Definitely not boring my friend.❤ That raccoon was exciting for sure! The same thing happened to me with a possum. I left the door open for the cats to come in one evening, and the possum just sauntered in and started eating the cat food. It was like he'd done it many times before!😆 Thank you for sharing your day with us.

He just prances around and totally ignores us. 😂You're so right- God is lavishly creative and this time of year I enjoy my yard so much with the beautiful flowers, trees, and birds. A wooden screen door with a latch lock would solve your issue with raccoons, and you would also get the breeze from the outdoors. 😊

Enjoyed your day in the life video Mary. The raccoon though..oh my word! I thought you were going to say a bug was in your flour, LOL! Raccoons LOVE cat food, on my parents farm in PA they have a few that wonder onto the porch and help themselves. I'm happy it knew how it came in to get out!!
What a great video! I can relate to the raccoon, once I let my dog in at night, and he carried a possum in the house, I kept telling the dog to get him out and HE DID !! I was so grateful for that !!

I leave my doors open too. I love the feel of fresh air and listening to the birds. Last month, I finally invested in a screen door and I love it. I get all the positives and none of the pesky unwanted visitors.

YES, you did the Soap and Candles for the Bridal Shower I Hosted for my Granddaughter. I should have ordered more than I did , I didn’t expect everyone on the list to come! Should have ordered 30 of both scents of soap and both scents of candle. We had 53 ladies attend, plus their preteen daughters. LOL!!! The ladies loved them all! Big, big hit for sure. Your Lilac Soap I bought is almost gone, that smell is so true to the scent of real Lilac… amazing! Hope you make more.

Oh my the Raccoon! When we lived in the Country, they would eat our cats food also. So we started feeding them inside!

I enjoyed this DITL. I always love seeing Ohio in the spring. Your raccoon visitor reminded me of my Grandmother. Years ago she walked into her bedroom, and there, curled up on her bed like a stuffed animal, was a LIVE raccoon!!!! She eventually shooed it out with a broom.

Oh my gosh I can totally relate to your raccoon visitor! I was loading my car one morning and had the doors open when I caught in the corner of my eye a little animal. I first thought it was our little Yorkie but noooo- it was a muskrat!!! I screamed and it turned and crawled in behind some shoes in our entry way….. ugh now what do I do? Muskrats will jump at you and defend themselves… so I left in a huge hurry and left the outside door propped open closing securely the inside door- when I got home his visit had ended!!
That raccoon was hilarious! Glad it didn’t stand its ground. We’ve had them do that to us- and their growl makes the hair on your neck standup 😂. Great DITL. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Mary, Get one of those screens that are magnetic. They are fairly cheap and then you can leave your door open. Hopefully the raccoons will stay out. Love all your videos!

Hi Mary. I so enjoy your creativity! The small soap favors are great. Just a thought, there is a way to have your labels marked by the printer when printed so that they would be so fast to fold onto the bars. And small glue dots would be fast and easier on your nieces fingers when she pushes in the pin. I bet the dollar tree dots would cost less in bulk. Just my idea to streamline those little jobs! Peace!
Agree. Glue dots are a lot quicker than tape and probably a lot less expensive than pins. Also, the pin seems to be potentially dangerous to the consumer, or at least gives someone a reason for a lawsuit.
