  • I visited Los Angeles for the first time, and I needed to figure out how to get from the LAX airport to SoFi Stadium via the train for an NFL game. I loaded $1.75 to my account through the TAP App and Google Pay. This video begins in the Los Angeles Airport at Terminal 3. I find the pink Metro column at the arrivals section to catch the Metro C-Line (Green) free shuttle to the Aviation Station, where you redeem your $1.75 for the Metro train to the Hawthorne Station. From there, I show how to get to the free gameday shuttle to SoFi Stadium. Note: Portions of this video can probably be followed if you are trying to get somewhere else like Downtown Los Angeles too. Filmed on December 3, 2023.
One other note: in late-2024, a new "people mover" and new Airport Metro train station are supposed to have their grand opening, making it easier to take the train directly from the Airport.

Inglewood will build a people mover that will connect to the LA Metro, which in turn will connect to the upcoming LAX People Mover. No shuttles required.
The K line and C line will connect in the future, too. The K line is the Metro light-rail that will connect to the LAX People Mover.
On LA Metro you don't TAP again to get out of the station.
As a native Angeleno, I didn't realize there was a free shuttle on game days. Good to know. Thanks.

The Mondrian style mosaic tile wall in different colors are original to the 60s. They're a well-known piece of architectural lore at LAX. They've come out in several movies. I think some are now closed to the public, but they're still used by LAX personnel.
