Cool deck, Swayze. A suggestion: I tried it and found that dropping two of the biggies (1x Cityscape, 1x Portal) and replacing them with 1x Celestus and 1x Bandit's Haul works well. Both trigger the Synthesizer, and both help you ramp to the biggies.

I've been playing a Big Red Power Stone ramp deck for a while now. OTJ had some really nice adds to it.
After watching this, you made me realize why Three Steps Ahead and Simulacrum Synthesizer were practically made for each other.

I used to run this is mono blue and mono red. No one ever expects a big ramp deck in red or blue.

I've been having fun with Big Blue but centered around Teferi and Defiler of Dreams. The Phyrexian Mana is risky but it's a ton of card draw late game.

I’ve tried the simulacrum synthesizer a lot, and it’s so hard to get it to work against aggro. You have to take turn 3 off to play it, then you’re dead.
glass casket and assimilation aegis work well if you add white
It does run a little better with white for removal or the Aegis.
Yo can someone help me with a dumb question. Are the cards for standard in mtga the same as MTGO and the physical cards that are released? I’m trying to decide want to get back on mtgo or try mtga.
I typically despise playing mono blue or going against it, but this one looks like a ton of fun. I love Synthesizer, so I do think I'll give this one a shot.

I love Simulacrum Synthesizer. Paired with Worldwalker Helm it is gross.
Simulacrum is such a lame card considering it's only 3 mana and not legendary
Not talking about you because I know you just play a bunch of decks but synthesizer players are just the worst. Theres so little that can even interact with it unless youre playing control, which I really dont want to do. But synthesizer is just busted.

@@LaurentCassaro Soooo what? Those decks have to exist to even have something that has a chance against this deck. This is mono red x1000. Its mindless. Drop a synthesizer, either copy it, or play another one next turn and its practically gg already. RDW and boros you hit a couple well timed removals/bounce early you can usually sustain and value out vs a ton of decks, of which there are 100 in standard right now. THIS pos shit you can wipe the fiield every turn and it STILL powers through off single casts. The most played removal, go for the throat, is a dead card in the match up. It draws cards, it goes wide, it goes big, it takes your stuff, etc. It does everything damn near for free. This is the blue version of mono red. The best card against it, Sunfall, rotates out soon so its gonna be even more cancer to play against. Synthesizer players are scum and they're even worse because they think they're better than mono red and boros players. They're the lowest of the low right now.

Synthesizer players get mauled by any kind of artifact removal. Bring brotherhood’s end or even a disenchant and you'll be completely fine.

So the synthesizer deck is hardly an issue.
Now saying that a deck - any deck - is more mindless than monored or boros is hilarious. There's about zero decision making with these, and that's the only reason I avoid playing these decks, they're so mindless and repetitive that I get bored instantly. Note that I understand that people use that kind of decks to rank-up... but everyday? All the time? 🤮
Sure, synthesizer wins are impressive. But what do you do when you don't draw that synthesizer? That's why it's not as mindless as you pretend to be.
For me, it's just a fun deck, like the Calamity or the SnakeHorse : you go kaboom when you win, that's fun, but it's not tier 1 material.
But feel free to whine about it. 🤣
