Just a comment from a retired Audiologist, every time you go up 6dB you double the sound pressure level (spl). So 38.? decrease is amazing. For the life of me I don’t understand why it is such a nightmare to get one. All they do is keep the shooter and those nearby from getting a noise induced sensory neural hearing loss.
Isn't it 3dB to double the sound level? Not sure how does that translate to SPL
B&T is slept on in the US civilian market, they are getting popular in the civilian suppressor market bc of quality and price. Alot of people dont know this but B&T is the largest suppressor manufacturer in the world
I own one and it’s my fav sd gun. Pain to clean though vs non- integral sd.
B&T also had the mil-spec overrun mags that aren’t see thru.
@@thecappy do you have a SD barrel brush? HKP sells one for a hundred smackers which is high but makes cleaning the ports easy without taking the handguard off

@@cercaz there's an easier way with a cheap battery post cleaner attached to a piece of pvc pipe
@@cercaz The easy access to the barrel is one of the big advantages over the MP5SD. It is so much easier to clean when you aren't having to go through the vents in the barrel shroud (reason for the SD barrel brush). It's worth the minimal effort of removing the handguard.
I have a APC9 limited 8.9" with a Cash 9. Very very fun gun.
If you change out your grip to something better with a better angle. The safety becomes a non issue.
I am relatively satisfied with my current collection, but B&T has been on my short list for a while now. This just took precedence over the regular APC9 I've been eyeing for a while. Damn does this thing look fun! I will be buying one!

I can attest to B&T, they make phenomenal products.. so much so, I bought it multiple times. I own the APC9SD with the 12.5 inch suppressor, APC9L, APC9k, & APC223.

Spc9 pdw sd is a gem.
I have the Elfman Match Pro SE trigger in my APC9, I absolutely love it. When I installed it a couple years ago, I had to go to hardware store to get longer Allen screws ( m4x16mm) because the ones that came with the trigger were to small due to the thickness of the lower.

Great video and SD! I used to see you on Instagram but lost track! My CAR-15 SD uppers are integrally suppressed as well and use the MP5SD handguards and suppressors. I do use the CMMG RDB BCG with my SD barrels. I would love to see someone do a comparison with the B&T and I’d be glad to send one out, if there’s ever any interest. I’m located in Shelby NC. Anyway, awesome video man!
My original B&T OEM mags with the old style Army Bumpers have been fine.
They no longer offer the army bumpers now they have some other thinner bumper thing

Mr.gunsand gear PLEASE check out the K version of this,it's overall length with supressor is insane. I'd definetly rather fire the K version of this thing inside of an enclosed space than an unsupressed handgun. that's for damn sure.

Agreed, you can get the platform even shorter if desired. There is also a compact version of the SD suppressor to go along with either the K or full-size APC. It gets the suppressor close to handguard length making for an even more compact overall platform (trade-off of a couple DBs).

I own the Ruger pc9 and S&W FPC that as PCCs are loads of fun but not perfection so I'd trade both for one B&T.
I have a full auto 45 ACP Reising m50 and a Threaded barrel that fits an Omega 45k supressor. I’m concerned it may beat the gun apart tho. So tempted. 875RPM unsupressed. What will it be supressed!

2) Being that you have to adjust your rear iron sight so far over, are you going to call them about that and have them fix it? I would love to know what you find out. That’s a lot of cash to spend for something not to be super straight!

Did I read the decibal reading correctly, the round fired was about 123 to 128? No s.s crack of course due to the barrel ports/vents/holes...pretty sweet little setup! I have an mpx-p i have yet to get a supressor for it but i did get to shoot it with a friends can i went to the range with, seems like its a bit smoother to shoot than these B&Ts but until i actually get to shoot one...of course i have no idea lol
The weight of it + SD system + hydro buffer + suppressor make my SD Pro in single shots almost as soft recoiling as my MP5 + R9 suppressor. If I string a bunch of shots however the roller delay system pulls ahead of the APC.
Both of those guns have telescopic stocks so it is sort of a wash there
@cercaz That makes sense. Those damn telescoping stocks...im not saying I could design something more stable...but man...there's gotta be a way lol it's not THAT much movement but it's absolutely noticeable if you havent shot it in a while.
@@joshshepherd5660 to me the Sig telescopic for my MPX-K is actually rather stable, but it has half the LOP of my other guns so that may have something to do with it.
I'd actually rank my MP5K neck and neck with my MPX-K as far as recoil too. Both with cans on them

Logistics mainly. Can stack ammo deep for 9mm, I can just fire whatever supersonic trash is laying around or my friend's but still get pretty quiet sessions

Whenever I see sound comparisons, I'm always curious what the sound of the action closing registers at without firing. Just to give a comparison to how much additional sound is created above the sound of the action.

B&T’s are really nice to shoot and well made but their prices are ridiculous.
@@gifthorse3675 agreed, a sub 3k at best (compare vs a MPX and comes with a can). Their whole we have to pay off the R&D cost line is bunk, since they had a US army contract - subsidized that out the window. Tooling paid as well

Seems like a cool gun, but how would it be better than a Sig MPX with a suppressor, which would be considerably cheaper and is gas piston operated?? My MPX is so butter that I have to check myself to see if I am shooting squibs.
I have a MPX-K and a MP5 + K to go alongside the SD Pro.
It beats the MPX style in not having a charging handle and place for gas to puff your face every shot.
Out the box though MPX wrecks it for mags and trigger.
I'd say as far as recoil I'd go : 1. MP5, 2. APC Pro SD, tied 3 MPX-K and MP5K. That ranking is close as can be on single shots. String a bunch and the MP5/K wins on their recoil system
@@cercaz I have one of those gas-redirecting charging handles for the MPX, works great, no gas in face. 💨

@cercaz you could also try an ILWT .0469 gas plug. That significantly reduced the gas to the face for me. I also added +20% recoil springs, but it wouldn't cycle 150gr Syntech. Gonna try going back to stock springs.
The SPC SD has a threaded cover that goes over the ports so you can shoot it unsuppressed without roasting your hand. Wonder if they have one for the APC series?

Can anyone confirm if the B&T APC9 can take Magpul's D50 for the CZ Scorpion?
B&T offers their OEM B&T mag lower, Glock, and Sig P320 lowers if you have a Pro model.
You'd have to get a Lingle lower to use Scorpion style mags. I can confirm that ETS and PGS mags with the Lingle lower flawlessly. OEM CZ 20rd ones have some feeding issues. AKV ones are a really tight fit you'll have to sand em down.

I'm curious if you use +P or +P+ ammo, would it still be subsonic and what difference it makes on the sound signature.
Ian from Forgotten Weapons tested +P ammo with my CAR-15 SD, which has basically the same barrel. 115 went super but barely. 124 +P may stay subsonic but can’t say for sure.

@@63xMortis ammunition cost is the main downside and 45 suppressor tend to be larger. those are really the only downsides for me.

With my budget I have a hard time justifying $3500 for a duty rifle. A 9mm PCC, which to me is just novelty fun range toy because 300blk, 10mm, 7.62x39 exist, there is no way I could talk myself into that one much less my wife.
You can find deals on B&Ts from time to time. I got my APC9 Pro SD for ~2200 with stamp.
There was a 4th of July sale on GHM9 SD Gen 2s that would've been ~2500 with stamp.
