I would really recommend you check out the "nightbreed" track by Jehst, Kyza & Klashnekoff, which cyrus mentions. One of my favorite tracks still to this day... Would also be an introduction to Jehst, who in my book is one of the best to ever do it. Cheers

You got it Casey he names all the UK Hip Hop lyricists as our scene did not get appropriated by the corporation's and kept that concious street vibe 🔥💯

That list of uk artists mentioned - Klashnekoff, Task Force, Jehst, Lewis Parker - were the boom bap ukhh scene that was kinda getting ready to take off and blow but just never did. And tbh i used to like a lot of that stuff but listening back it just doesnt stand up against all the grime MCs that came out and actually blew up in the same period. You guys might appreciate it more cos it's a lot more US influenced. the only guy who really broke out of that was Lewis Parker who actually moved to the US & produced a couple tracks for Ghostface Killah. UK hip-hop was a real dead end at the time, you had to make moves like LP to get anywhere.
Check out Klashnekoff 'Its Murda' tho that's the hardest ukhh song ever made

you have no idea haha...doesn't stand up? what do you mean by that? The beats and lyricism shown by that list mentioned is way above any grime artist

@@StayFr0sty lmao please. Beats is a matter of taste, but it's a living room chill out & have a smoke vibe. You can't say anyone's "way above" Sir Spyro or anything it's just different. As for MCs, no chance. Listen to any Ghetts freestyle of the last few years and tell me if Jehst or Chester P could do that. Ukhh rappers have precisely one flow that they never deviate from, year after year album after album. No-one can find the pockets like Ghetts does
There's a reason these guys are making millions & ukhh literally fell apart because Braintax went to Australia with all the Low Life Records money lmao.

But please, do tell me more about have I "have no idea" about the music I grew up listening to. I was there for the UKHH golden era, '99 til like what, 2005 is when it fell off? I had the Louis Slipperz £10 bag compilations. Doesn't change the fact that these boom bap rappers can't do what the top grime MCs can

@@SergeiNechayev Living room chillout and have a smoke vibe? What have you been listening to loool you cannot summarise the productions of Illinformed and Lewis and Jehst etc into simply just that...thats like saying sir spyro and rudekid etc just make hype music! All are sick producers, I get you, i grew up with grime and ukhh and they are both apart of me, but you really can't say that grime MCs are levels above the ukhh legends! That slower tempo is what allows the lyricism to really shine, ghetts is unique, nobody in grime does it like him...he doesn't have the best flow in rap though, that title belongs to Ocean Wisdom and everyone knows that much, those pockets are untouchable
Yeahh i mean it is in the name haha low life records

@@SergeiNechayev respect for being there too bro, but you know 2005 isn't when it fell off, because it never did..just went even more underground! Just look at rhyme asylum, you think top grime MCs can spit lyrics like that? Those punches are unchallenged by any grime mc, and ocean wisdom has better flow than any grime artist so yeah

Your missing a real treat. Harry shotta is the goat of barz. He beat Eminem with the most barz in a song. He’s a drum and bass guy. Trust me guys. He’s the goat
