You cannot asked Bron to defend at a high level the whole 48 minutes. That's why in his podcast he said I'm 39 years old and I have to pick my spots both offensively and defensively why? Because his conserving his energy and strength the whole 48 minutes. He only defend smartly through his IQ or reading the defensive scheme on other opponent and make it a way to disrupt that to create offense but to lockdown defense, he pick his spots. And don't say why we haven't seen this all year.

Also, if a star player is cooking late in the 4th, Lebron takes on the challenge to defend them. He may not do it every night, but I've seen him do it plenty of times, at a high level. Where was this all year?? First of all, he's 39yrs old. Secondly, he makes defensive plays like that ALL The Time throughout the season if you actually pay attention. You typically never see opposing players try to target or score on Bron because he will play serious defense in those moments and make those player work extremely hard for their points. His defensive lapses just get glorified because of the hate, but who realistically would expect to have any 39yr old player playing lockdown defense like he did here. Bron plays great defense when it matters most, he's not about wear himself down at 39 by playing better defense than jis teamates
