Just wanting to make a suggestion,,, Next time piping your big 3" lay flat get your wife's tub of vegetable shortening,,,knife out a big bowl of that and use inside each hose like you done with your PB Blaster,,, You geta little more slick,,plus is biodegradable. :) Regardless how you do this work,,it is work,,,which many people these days,,,the young generation doesnt have a clue on. Also,,, i'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer,,,but i learned justa bout a year ago,,, ( and this is really hard to get my head around),,is watering,,,it is actually the oxygen from the water droplets that feeds the plants,,it is not actually the moisture,,once the plants have emearged. A sceintist explained this so i bought into anyways.:) Have learend a lot from your videos for our two little pickle patches we have here 'up north' in the Midwest. You know you are in the Carolinas ,,,after being there for no more than two days you hear,,,"from up north",,,,,,somehow,,,referring to us Yankees,, :) Thanks again
During your week~ of overhead irrigation after transplanting, do you drip irrigate also? Or do you wait until after you’re done watering in with overhead. Thanks in advance, you do a great job! Really appreciate the helpful videos
@austinhirsch9286 no I don't drip during that time, just run sprinklers to establish the plants and help avoid transpiration during our hot fall weather.
How many hours do you run the wobbler system to get the strawberries watered in the way you want? What psi do you run in the 1 1/4"? Do you think dish washing soap would work as good or better than the Blaster/WD40 on the fittings? I never liked using petroleum based oils on plastic parts. Some of my aluminum pipe has 1 1/4" outlets for the risers (don't know why they did that, had to install bushings for risers), but with no bushing I can run a fair amount of drip tape out of the 1 1/4". I can't believe you started the system without flushing. Even with impact sprinklers, you don't want some mice with nests or even baby rabbits in there.
I like those sprinklers. Off subject though, what’s your thoughts on pushing Ridomil fungicide through drip irrigation after planting? Any different fungicide better to use if not running a full on fumigation?
I definitely recommend running ridomil gold asap after planting. I will be doing that myself this week. There are several good products out there, but they are generally use specific, like for certain soil born diseases or nematodes, where fumigant takes care of a multitude of problems.
No, it's not. Water over the foliage is very beneficial, and water does make its way into the holes right at the base of the plant where it's needed. Also, how well water (from drip) will stay in the bed is directly related to the amount of avaliable ground moisture.

I'm working up the courage to try frost protecting with water this coming spring. If I decide to go that route, then no. It should be better and less expensive in the long run than covers. I just need to do some more research.
How big are the beds are you planting into we usually plant into 7 inch tall beds with 5 foot plastic for strawberry and do you ever use biodegradable plastic for summer plants
My beds are 6" tall by 24"wide. I have never heard anything good about bio mulch. We are usually looking for the thickest, highest quality mulch we can get for strawberries so it lasts, not melts away.
@@CherryHillFarm i used biogold biodegradable this summer for my tomato’s and i was pleased with it it lasted all summer i like being able to pull the steaks then just disk it under but I use normal plastic for strawberries
Im all about supporting local and dont mind paying a little extra to do it. I do buy from them some, but they usually run about double the price of rain-flo or Nolts.

what are the green rods and adapters for the wabble sprinklers and where do you buy them?
They are just 48" pieces of 3/8 steel rod. It all came from Rain-Flo irrigation in Pennsylvania

I run the sprinklers about 25 psi. Any more than that they start blowing apart. I run a couple hours at a time regularly for the first week

I hate when I do that, i do it with heat shrink on wires too. Lools like a good set up. Will you still cover them over the winter?

And do you have any experience in growing field raised garlic

Couldn't you just take your hose clamp apart rather than taking the lay-flat off on your fitting?
I could've. They don't always go back together very good, sometimes they bind up
