I use to love running in bad storms. It broke up the day to day Ho hum of driving. It didn’t matter what was thrown at me I went through it. Running all those storms made me a better driver. Who just wants to be a fair weather driver. I was a very proud driver and proud to get the load there no matter what. Never learned a thing about driving in the pickle park. Mother nature is pissed off!! We had a shepherd that during thunderstorms or fireworks would jump through window panes to get outside...if outside, she'd come thru the panes to get inside, but other wise a great dog! RIP Tania!
We need some of that rain here outside of Philadelphia....it hasn't rained in weeks ....dry as a bone 🦴
I hit a storm like that on 07/15/22. The lightning was amazing. Nonstop for at least an hour and a half. Had a case of Deja vue that night. Two tractor trailers jumped onto the shoulder in a construction zone and stop dead in their tracks. The electrical field messed with my camera.
Plus a little Lox and some onion to go with the cream cheese !

Speaking of being attacked by geese, that has happened to me twice. Both of them were in the spring while walleye fishing. They can sure put a whooping on you with their wings and beaks lol. Have a good trip Kurt and Opie
When we had thunderstorms, my GSD would either crawl up on the couch with me or jump in bed with me. Did not like rain or thunder.
I enjoy the ride alongs and especially love Opie because he reminds me of my wife’s German Shepherd that we lost last year. Dasha also hated t-storms. We could use some of that rain down here in Texas

That storm you encountered slammed the St. Louis area before it got to you and dumped more than 10 inches of heavy rain in less than 12 hours, flooding the Interstates and city streets. Looks like you were lucky enough to miss the floods while in Indiana. Continued safe travels and tell Opie to chill... it's just rain!

Here in Southern WV we are getting days of rain - which we also need. Hoping you get some too. I know it's been hotter there than here but it's been over 90⁰ here; thankfully not over 100⁰.

NOw, if you could bottle some of that rain for UK, because we haven't seen rain in weeks/months. (which is unusual for UK). Almost constant temp of 75f and on one week 86 up to 104f. (We don't have aircon in homes)!

When it storms the both of them run & hide in the shower in the main bedroom bathroom. Looked like the Upside Down in the Stranger Things with all that lighting & the red interior lights. I’m sorry you had to drive in such a downpour with lightning crackling all around, but it did make foe an exciting video. I think this is one of my very favorites of your vlogs. I personally love thunderstorms and really enjoy watching them. Unfortunately, I live out on the West Coast where we get very thunderstorms, so watching them online is the best I can do.

Parts of Saint Louis had 9+ inches of rain today, At times through the video, Opie looked as if he was missing his cuddle Buddy aka Little Bud Aka Troy.
So way back in 2010! they closed the plant down! I worked there from 1993. I started helping my cousin in the flat bed trucking at that time hauling buildings. We always talked to the construction company! They said we could park on site. Not knowing we where going to a Boars Head meat plant. Sure glad my AC worked very good that place was rank!
