- Today, we will be going through and discussing the Hogwarts Legacy Storyline, all of the characters apart of the Hogwarts Legacy Story, and how the storyline differs from the Harry Potter Books and movies! This is my longest video on the channel by far, but the story itself is SOO long and has many different elements! @@NIGHTMARE-zy7tq I haven’t played any of the others just yet, but maybe some dialog is different throughout? Not too sure
The game has brutal combat mechanics/ targeting control. The harder the difficulty the worse it makes targeting. Making the game play shittier is not how you should increase difficulty. The combat doesn’t flow as well as dark souls, breath of the wild, Tsushima, and other games it takes inspiration from.

Did anyone notice that at the beginning of the game you can't see the Thestrals pulling the carriage but as soon as Georg dies they become visible to the player? Love the attention to detail the developers put into the game

Oh i noticed that immediately. When George got grabbed i was hoping he was okay, but then i saw the Thestrals materialize and was like 🥲 oh

How is that attention to detail if it's a basic element of the lore.
Anyone else thinking that if Isidora’s father hadn’t let his grief consume him that this story never would have happened? I mean I know losing a child is unbearable, but he had another child too. Isn’t it totally selfish of him to never talk to his daughter again because of his loss? I mean she lost a brother too… just something I thought of while watching this review..
No I don't think he was selfish. It looks like her father suffered from reactive mutism after extreme psychological trauma (the passing of his son). Therefore it wasn't a choice on his part to not talk to his daughter but a trauma response. He literally couldn't speak even if he wanted to
Going mute is a possible documented effect of PTSD just as it was reported that some war veterans came back blind or deaf without any physical injury explaining it. It is thought to be a conversion disorder which means physical pain or symptoms which have psychological causes (often long-term stress)
@@eljay_sys that’s an interesting point I didn’t think of, does therapy usually help with these symptoms or is it something the person has to live with for life?

"Highwing" Thank you so much for this whole story and background. Playing the game, I was just barely able to piece it all together, what with all the side quests and battles, it was just difficult to keep the actual story together. This made it much clearer. Thank you.

I chose to free the magic but nothing actually happened after that🤣 I was ready to rein havoc
@@_Wizzo Maybe in year 6 if we import a save or so or just choose what we chose here we can be evil. But I think it will be in year 7. I expect it to be huge DLC's. Because the world is there allready just new story and sidequests and some collectibles/puzzles and it would be great/ they can even add a new region and in year 7 again. I suppose it will be like the witcher also new region (Toussaint) and new story's.
@@Kvs-vf9nt I hope so I loved the blood and wine and hearts of stone dlc for Witcher. There seems to rarely be any dlc like that lately.

They do. Side with the keepers and help kill and cover isadoras murder.
One correction: Peeves was never alive. He is a physical manifestation of all the mischief committed at Hogwarts

@@magicpyroninja J K Rowling wrote about them in some articles on wizarding world. poltergeists are "amortal", meaning that they were never really alive. they are also normally not tangible, but in rare cases like peeves they can exercise physical force on solid objects, which ghosts can not (although they can sometimes disturb gases and liquids)

This was by far one of the best videos regarding the storyline. I’m glad I found your channel!
While playing it I just wanted to explore and level up but ended up getting so worked up with the story and characters that I got emotional about my choices. I think mainly when it came to Sebastian Shallows side quest. I found my self stopping quest to fight porches just in case there was an animal in a cage. It really had a way with messing with your emotions. So all in all good game. Now Im gonna need some DLC content cause I need more. I know its just been out a few months.
I’m playing the game again but choosing a different house. Also playing the side quest more than the storyline . A lot of fun I love this game !!

Alistair Archibald. Ravenclaw. A self proclaimed "Potions Master And Wizarding Prodigy".
My character values courage, but his thirst for knowledge places my character squarely in Ravenclaw.
An all around good guy, but he has a habit of dabbling in the dark arts. (Backstory reason why a few dark arts are/may be learned)
There is a lot more stories in sidequests (natty, sebastian, poppy's being the primary ones i can remember).
I personally go around doing any sidequests popping up before progressing the main storyline which gives much more insight into what was happening around that time.
Sebastian's story was particularly heartwrenching.

I think that the main quest ended too soon. In my opinion we should have more insight into Goblin vs Wizards history (where Ranrok originated from - was he a ministry politician turned to evil by ministry unwilling to aknowledge that Goblins are as rightful wizards but from other race; what was his personal story to have such motivations; how did he get access to Bragbors studies etc). More insight to Izydora's motives. She was good at first but the moment she turned evil is so rushed it is non-believable for me. We should explore more about her, so the decision at the end would be actually hard. Her actions did bring peace at mind at first, she could actually do this. What was the moment she understood that she could benefits that magic to her own manipulating scheme? At the end we could continue her work and become evil or keep her power to actually use it for good cause. Or refuse it and shut down entire ancient magic in the vault. We could join the Goblins in battle for their rights in the name of Lodgok... And how on Earth our choices during the game don't change the overall result like in the Witcher 3? Every point of the story lead to different ending in that game. HL misses it terribly.
And don't even get me started on every quest being outside of the Hogwarts, because I would write my ass off till tomorrow...

I love the game yet I don’t know much about Harry Potter lore but I feel like it educated me plus the soundtrack everywhere you go is cinematic. The details AMAZING. The ending I feel has so much potential especially if you know who ends up in jail and if you were able to visit Azkaban then you know they are sure to go insane.
I love this game it’s really awesome and such a great story.
It feels strange to see Natty alongside the main character at first because I choose Sebastian 🤣

I took about a 100 hours to finish everything, minus getting all shiny pets. I was lucky i got 2 genders of unicorns at all even if not shiny.

The game is fun. The passing is horrible though. Hiding inventory upgrades the way they did. Was also a dumb idea.
And having the upgrades stop after 60 of the certain challenge when all other challenges you have to compete them all why have so many in game if you're going to cap it unless you're a trophy hunter there really is no reason to finish them also i hate that the landing platforms don't show up on the map every other challenge type does loved the game otherwise though
They need to add new storylines here and there 💯

I started over on ps5 after Rookwood's trial because I rushed it too much. When Autumn comes I will explore a lot more. this time.

@@_Wizzo Me2 and I will complete it 100% on normal difficulty and when it gets to easy I put it to hard. I have to restart because I have the robotic voice glitch by changing the pitch (so just do the prologue again). So I leave the default voice for my Tom Riddle now.
Did, or are you planning to couple your WB account to the game so you know your house, wand and patronus?
I coupled my WB account and am a proud Slytherin. Also my wand is 13 1/4 inch long and has a Phoenix core and fir wood and is unbending. Patronus is a swift.

I will say, this is great, but you didn't fully have the story, not trying to disrespect you or Highwing, but the companion side quests, and the spell ones, are needed for the true end, so they are part of the story, as well as everything for he room as far as I can tell.
I originally had it all, but no joke it added like another 30 mins to the video, so I made cuts. This was the main parts of the story, although Highwing and Natty quests had to go

Dragon heartstring I would have went with. Unicorn as my core because then the wand would be more loyal. Been able to resist dark magic much more easily.
I wish we'd been given the choice to retrieve Lodgok's body. He was a nice goblin.
That stone is not a Horcrux, it's the Ressurection Stone.
It's also 1890-ish, Tom Riddle (Voldemort) wasn't born until 1926.
If the two knights guarding the door are that scary then why bother opening the door for Ranrok?

Thank you! Erm unfortunately not… the actual story itself doesn’t change, you just got a single mission dedicated to your house, that’s all!
You can decide to snitch on Sebastian, then he'll be sent to Azkaban and you won't be able to learn the three unforgivables any longer if you hadn't yet.
There are two. Someone has already pointed out Sebastian, but there are multiple endings to the game, one where you open the repository and your eyes glow red with evil, and one where you just kill Ranrok and then Professor Fig gets a funeral. He dies either way.
I stopped the video after nearly headles Nick story and how they ended up in forbidden forrest, my path was different. I wonder was anyone elses too? I have to watch video further to see if anything else was different.
I have 4 characters 2 in high levels, 2 in lower levels.

in hogwarts legacy u can get a elder wood wand with one of the three cores but in the game u recue a thestral and could get thestral hair to replace the core and u could theriacaly have a wand as powerful as "the elder wand".

This game had an emotional toll on me and I can’t forgive it for making me cry ugly tears for half the side quests

I love how Nearly Headless Nick has been trying to get into the Headless Hunt for hundreds of years to no avail😅😢. And that Professor Binns has been dead since BEFORE 1890 😅 which canonically means that he taught DUMBLEDORE History of Magic and then he became his boss 😂 Also how the noble Weasley family has fought to defend Hogwarts on more than one occasion. theres just so many little fun nuggets for HP lore dorks ❤

I'm on my second playthrough
I just played through it a few times over the last few weeks, first time ever gaming, so abit of learning about gameplay too. I love the game, but I am sad it is somewhat over for me now. I have this little switch thingymagoo. Are there any games out there that is similar to this? I generally dont like swords and guns though :-) And need graphics on par with this.

Can we just talk about the fact that the plot revolves around a group of elites wielding unimaginable power and determining who should and should not get to benefit from it?
I know that their purpose in the story is good but that's a little to real for my taste.

yeah that was judy low dif level and rushing through the story, the overall game might take bertween 40 - 60 hours!
