Alan Rising is a phenomenal album by Rainbow, Dio was a great singer songwriter and performer R.I.P. The band was a monster and I was a hardcore Hardrock and Progressive Rock dude so it was in my wheelhouse. I saw them live at the infamous concert 8/24/78 at the Palladium in NYC where they walked off stage after 2&1/2 songs they say because the PA System and or the Rainbow light Rig was malfunctioning. But from where I was sitting it was because the opening act AC/DC with Bon Scott was on fire 🔥 and people were screaming for Angus and the band from when their set ended through Rainbow’s set and Ritchie was 😤 who knows the true story?? I was pissed that I had only seen Rainbow play 2 1/2 songs and took my money and left 😂
2 3/4 might have been better 😂👍
Whilst Stargazer is absolutely great, I love this song so much more.
The whole album is banging.

One small thing, though. That's Rainbow MK1 in the picture. ( essentially Elf with Ritchie) MK 2 did Rising. Blackmore, Dio, Bain, Carey, and Powell. Or was it Pugh, Pugh, Barney, McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, and Grub?
